Anyone else experiencing this (Reason 13.1)? I just submitted the following to RS support:
===
Bug with Player wrapper bar disappearing under certain repeatable conditions:
(1) Open new document with "Empty - Rack Only" template
(2) Drag an ID 8 device into rack, a Mix channel is created as usual
(3) Right click the ID 8 and select "Combine"
(4) Drag a Scales and Chords Player onto the ID 8 inside the combinator
(5) Toggle the combinator closed by clicking the downward arrow
(6) Toggle the combinator back open, everything is still there
(7) Toggle the combinator closed again
(8) Drag another ID 8 into an empty space on the rack (new mix channel)
(9) Open the combinator. The wrapper is gone!
(10) Toggle the open/closed arrow of combinator, wrapper still gone
(11) With the combinator still open, turn off its "Devices" button. All devices now hidden, as expected
(12) Click "Devices" again, everything comes back, wrapper is back!
--repeating 8-12 repeats the bug:
(13) Drag another ID 8 into an empty space on the rack (new mix channel)
(14) Toggle open the combinator. The wrapper is gone!
(15) Toggle the open/closed arrow of combinator, wrapper still gone
(16) With the combinator still open, turn off its "Devices" button. All devices now hidden, as expected
(17) Click "Devices" again, everything comes back, wrapper is back!
Seems to be repeatable with any instrument and any player

I noticed this because I wanted to commit some generated notes, and "Send to Track" was nowhere to be found...
R 13.1 Player Wrapper disappears
Players date back to Reason 9. Hard to understand how they are still working out the bugs. This may chase me back to Reason 12, although otherwise R13 seems good to me.
Patient says: " It hurts when I do this"
Doctor says: "Stop doing that"
Similarly, this bug with a player in a combinator can be avoided
by never putting a player in a combinator.
Not ideal, obviously.

I can confirm that the behavior you describe regarding the wrapper temporarily disappearing occurs. I use Reason 13.1 under Mac OS 15.2 and see exactly what you described. Thanks for the tip and for already submitting a ticket.

Thanks for confirming! I wonder if it has always done this, or if this is new?marcuswitt wrote: ↑26 Dec 2024I can confirm that the behavior you describe regarding the wrapper temporarily disappearing occurs.
