Yep, it has been hours now. I thought it was due to it being Labor Day in the USA (Labour Day for Canadians).

They have probably sold through their current batch of licenses and are waiting for the next lot from RS. That being said, sometimes it can be a delay in their email delivery so it's always worth just checking on your account/previous purchases page to see if the licence is sat in there. That's happened to me a few times
To be honest, I have done this in the past and I can confirm that it worked, however I don't know if I would do it again as it is a needlessly risky strategy, especially at this moment in time.
Firstly, there is nowhere on the FAQ that states this is possible (Steinberg state this for example for cubase licenses) so RS policy could easily change, especially if they think there are multiple unused licences being sold. I know Presonus required you to email in your receipt, as proof you were inside the grace period for unused licences of Studio One if they were bought from third parties.
Secondly, if Reason 12 is anything to go by you may be sitting on the unused license for quite some time which means your money is sat in limbo doing nothing.
Finally, I may be wrong but I seem to recall that Resson 12 went on sale at a deeper discount than now just before Reason 13 was released. We were even told we could buy R12 now and get 13 free on release I think, so that may happen again for the next release.
It's all a risk of course but with, Black Friday sales and May madness due before any possible R14 release, I don't think it's a risk you need to take just yet.
So far this has always worked. So getting the upgrade code via a 3rd party and registering it in the grace period counts the same as if you bought it during the grace period. (That's also how I got R13 by registering the R12 upgrade just before R13 dropped.)
I'm confused how anybody would be willing to pay about $100 on the first sale of a new version of Reason only to sit on it for years in the hopes that it will work to upgrade to R14 whenever that is Why not get it and use it? Or why not wait until a later sale if that's your strategy? Or why not wait until R14 and get that during its first sale? Buying Reason at full price and using it today makes more sense than buying it on a sale and not using that purchase for a few years. Y'all are wild lol
So I was tempted by the 40% off v13 upgrade. Can anyone confirm that the full version of Reason 13 (whether coming from 12 or bought outright) doesn't contain all devices and you only get all devices via the Reason+ subscription?
ie devices such as Objekt, Algoritm and Complex 1 are not in Reason 13 but only included in Reason+ subscription.

Wasn't there a 'pre order' period? Maybe they are talking about that or maybe I dreamt the whole thing?phobic wrote: ↑02 Sep 2024To be perfectly honest with you, I'm not sure what the criteria was / is as I haven't received a voucher either. Maybe someone on the original subject thread can help?

I would guess it's based on authorization date, ie, the date you enter the code into your RS account. But who knows? If you ask RS themselves, they may close that possible loophole.
This! ha ha, totally agree. Doesn't make any sense to buy it and not use it now.joeyluck wrote: ↑02 Sep 2024I'm confused how anybody would be willing to pay about $100 on the first sale of a new version of Reason only to sit on it for years in the hopes that it will work to upgrade to R14 whenever that is Why not get it and use it? You just don't get the idea. Buy something cheap virtually, and then really buy it if you get something new for it. It is like buying a Porsche now virtually and really buy it in 10 years and you get that great new Porsche in 10 years instead of a new one now! So simple!joeyluck wrote: ↑02 Sep 2024I'm confused how anybody would be willing to pay about $100 on the first sale of a new version of Reason only to sit on it for years in the hopes that it will work to upgrade to R14 whenever that is Why not get it and use it? Wait.... Something's odd in that logic...
Reason13, Win10
Yes, it did appear now 1 day after. I was just a bit impatient not to get it faster. It says it is done manually so I am quite sure it is a timezone thing, so it depends on Jrr shop timezone versus RS working schedule.
Just something to be aware of if ordering, if wanting a more instant registration, it could be worth the €20 extra from RS website. Finally can leave the demo mode and start to refresh old projects. I don´t have a super problem with new browser, yes favourite lists were handy. I welcome any betterments in this browser, but it works fine so far for my needs. If they give option for a attachable browser, it would be cool also. But I do understand the choice to break it loose in this phase of development to optimise it.

Actually, it doesn’t sound too crazy to me right now to buy the upgrade on sale now and use it on the next version, if you’re already on v13 ♂️ but I just woke up, and had a bad night sleep, so ♂️Loque wrote: ↑03 Sep 2024You just don't get the idea. Edit: just checked and both codes seem to apply a discount for me. Perhaps try again.

Yes, R13 does not include all the extra REs from RS that you can see in the shop.

Thanks.
Thats a bit of a downer. I think I'll give it a miss then.

I also see it on AudioDeluxe and if you add the code SUMMER2024 you will get it for $106.99 and you get a free W.A. Production Screamo plugin. If you have any DeluxeBucks you can also apply. I have $4.40 applied and can get it for $102.59 while also making $3.20 in DeluxeBucks towards my next purchase.

At $119, this is reasonable. I just purchased the upgrade.

From FB groups as they ran out of licenses some people thought that it was scam and complained to RS, so I don't know if they had anything to do with removing the GROUP code or it was just down to the way the JRRSHOP brought new licenses to backfill the orders... (so GROUP may come back, also note you have to read the screen carefully to see if a code is applied, as it might NOT be applied but you still see discount removed thinking it is, so on the JRRSHOP, you see the price $119, in cart $107.46, then with codes applied it will be a little cheaper. ), bottom line you should be able to get it for ~£80Steedus wrote: ↑03 Sep 2024GROUP no longer worksCarly(Poohbear) wrote: ↑02 Sep 2024Ref JRRSHOP: Use the code GROUP in your cart and you can get it for about ~$100

Still unsure whether to bother as an RRP user although I was looking for this kind of discount...does anybody have a view on the refreshed library? Could swing it for me if there is a significant amount of content added as I use the factory library a fair bit, particularly REX for perc, toplines and whatnot. Are there new patches for the existing instruments and FX? The new delay looks nice but like everybody I have plenty of these and plenty of analogue synth emulations...
Looks like there are 329 new REX Loops in Reason 13, in the categories of Chopped Bongos, Chopped Congas, Chopped Guiro, Chopped Shaker, Chopped Tambourine, Cinematic, Downtempo Loops, EDM, Foley Perc, Grime UK, Latin, Techno, Trap, Uptempo Loops, Various.Tiny Montgomery wrote: ↑04 Sep 2024Still unsure whether to bother as an RRP user although I was looking for this kind of discount...does anybody have a view on the refreshed library? There's also lots of new patches and samples. They say over 1700 new samples, patches and loops.
I made this sheet, focusing just on new loops, using the New in Reason 13 favorites list:
