Threading optimizations and the chord progression player are exciting developments, hope they’re able to roll out the optimizations before end of year. With VST3 pushed out till end of year I doubt we’ll see any sequencer improvements until late next year since full M1 support will follow after.
Excited over RB start working for RS fulltime.
A bit let down of VST3 support end of 2022, but respect the complexity of the process and that it is done safeproof.
The pace of new devices planned makes me see that sometime soon I might go Reason+ sometime next version.

Petition for seperate colour just for Niklas.
Jokes aside, I'm worried that the assertion from RS that Reason is up to good performance is a bit premature. I've seen some people posting on this forum and elsewhere that they're struggling with performance - even with the 12.2.6 update
I personally run into difficulty whenever I have a vst open on my screen. I reinstalled R11 to compare and test and it certainly feels so much snappier

Reason 13 looks really, really promising.

Reason13, Win10
I guess, that are 2 different things.stratatonic wrote: ↑03 Jun 2022Yes. Instead of Reason Studios making 30% on a Robotic Bean device sale, now they will make 100%.

Yes. Instead of Reason Studios making 30% on a Robotic Bean device sale, now they will make 100%.
I wonder if his older stuff will be branded Reason Studios by Robotic Bean going forward.

Nothing specific. Just enhancements.Loque wrote: ↑03 Jun 2022What was promised?stratatonic wrote: ↑03 Jun 2022
Is Reason Studios saving all the "workflow" features that were promised for R12, and saving them for R13? I missed this memo.
Actually not one workflow enhancement/feature was spoken about with R12 (HiDPI + CMBv2 + VST3) that's what R12 was /is all about. A lot of work for RS tbf but nothing in the sequencer was ever announced.stratatonic wrote: ↑03 Jun 2022Is Reason Studios saving all the "workflow" features that were promised for R12, and saving them for R13? ReasonStudios wrote: Next steps for Reason Rack Plugin and stand-alone DAW
We are on a mission to create the most creative music making environment. We’ll deliver several devices this year and ensure we fix key capabilities, for example VST3, M1 and a new and improved Offline support. In parallel we are also doing research and working on long term plans for how to take the Reason Rack Plugin and standalone DAW to the next level. However, do not expect too much DAW workflow development during 2022, as we will continue to focus on core underlying technology projects (such as M1 and VST3) which are crucial to allow us to innovate in the future. However, we are aware of the many different requests you have regarding improved DAW workflow, sequencer updates and other capabilities.

Just to clarify:
Reason Studios did not buy Robotic Bean or anything like that, they just employed me as a full-time developer for them.
I'm working for the team that's developing the Reason app itself, so I'm not making REs for Reason Studios.
All existing Robotic Bean devices are staying with Robotic Bean, and they will of course still be fully supported going forward -- In fact, I released a bug fix for Sequences a couple of days ago.
I can stay as RE dev here since I will mostly be writing here as a "civilian" or representing Robotic Bean. There's plenty of other RS people hanging around here that are better at answering questions about RS stuff.

Extra happy your working with the Reason team, couldn't have a better ambassador for the rest of us poor reason users. I love your stuff. Hopefully you can implement some of the stuff/workflow issues you wish were in reason and some of the things we all want namely DAW improvement stuff.buddard wrote: ↑03 Jun 2022
