I wonder how much stress this HD graphics will impact on our systems. Do will need a powerful graphics card to run this smooth as we do right now ? Or the render will be do by the software ?

Anyone knows ?
Thanks
going from memory here, so take it with a grain of salt...I want to say they’ve said Reason’s UI will run off the GPU, if you have one. I could be mistaken, but I don’t think that’s currently the case.

as for how that will impact performance, it’s hard to say. I tried going back to using Digital Performer last year, and it actually ran worse (both audio and graphics) for me when it was rendering using the graphics card. I hope that won’t be the case with Reason, but I’ll have to wait and see.

That's fine with me I'm a hardcore Reason DAW fanboy and can't stand the fact you keep telling me to buy the competition lol
But we don't tell you to buy the competition. We tell you that WHATEVER you use, Reason is there with you. If you buy Reason, you're literally buying our DAW and not the competition but if you already own the competition and want Reason's instruments and effects - well now you have them. It's the ultimate in flexibility and yet some people take the fact that you get both the plugin and the DAW with Reason for granted.
You don't need to use your sales pitch on me I've loved Reason since Version 1 and it feels like I'm cheating every time you show me another DAW ;)

We all want one of these cameras right?!

Fun trivia fact: that is a genuine Panasonic Omnimovie VHS camera from the 80s which I rigged up with a "matte box" and rails" to look more substantial.

Did I miss the memo? Can we not embed images anymore?

Works

But google drive fails so I guess many like it also would.

So do current beta testers need to signup again?

Let's take some time to appreciate this beauty.
Don't know the name of the designer(s) involved, but congratulations to the team!

I’m confused...if you’re already a beta tester, you can log into the beta site and see if what you’re looking for is there. or alternatively, you can try to sign up. no?

Out of interest, I wonder what happens with this if you still run on Standard Definition monitors? Does it just use the original assets or does it use the new ones but scaled down?

you should still be able to log in, right? I logged into the beta site earlier this morning from my iphone. I looked again about a half hour ago, and didn’t see anything about the high res beta, so I suspect it’s a separate beta signup. but I’m also not terribly interested in being a beta tester, so I could’ve just been missing something.

Well maybe your password structure is easier than mine........

And what's wrong with asking someone who should know, rather than responces from someone who doesn't......

today's video isn't announcing Reason 12. It's just talking about high resolution graphics and opening up a public testing effort for that. You'll see when you see the video. :)
Hey dude, just wanted to say that regardless of what I may eventually think of the upcoming update, that's a hell of a brilliant video and it made me smile. Well done! :D

Subtractor looks so nice now! If it would have a High-BW switch after the update I would really considering to use it again.
