Hi!

I'm after a decent Bass Guitar vst that as well as being realistic and having articulations and velocity sensitivity etc, one that also does slides if there are any. How do people do good slides on bass guitar vst's here?

I haven't demo'd yet but IK Multimedia's Modo Bass looks good from a video but not sure about slides.

Thanks!

EZBass looks good, I haven't tried it yet but it seems to have what you ask for!
a while ago I tried MODO BASS it seemed a bit complicated, although it has a lot of different bass

Definitely try the demo of Waves Bass Fingers. Not sure if it does slides though.
They do a slap bass version too but I've never used that one.

I love EZBass. Highly recommend it. You're not just locked to grooves and key switches. It have multiple ways to create your bass lines including a grid editor where you can micro manage articulations including slides and much more. You can get it cheaper at Sweetwater for $149 now https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail ... s-download

Demo'd Waves Bass Fingers the other day. Pretty good but no sliding ability, don't think so anyway.

Looking at this video, looks like the business.

I have MODO Bass and the Reason option and they both sound pretty good but have clunky, outdated interfaces.

Sliding option is available for MODO but I havent used it before due to not understanding how to intuitively get it to work. I have done some short slides with Reason Bass I believe but I dont recall the process. I will look at both more later tonight when I have time.

The above user’s brief description of EZBass already sounds more user friendly than the two options I just mentioned.

try RealEight

https://www.musiclab.com/products/realeight/info.html

you can customize and hotkey any articulation and swap them on the go

Of all the keyboard guitar emulations I've tried, I feel like RealGuitars is the most realistic.

Just demo'ing EZ Bass. Very good indeed. Love it.

I bet along with EZ Drummer it's great.

Yeah I recently added EZdrummer2 to my arsenal and they definitely work great together. I just wish EZdrummer2 had a grid editor like EZbass but it's quick and easy to just drag the midi to the DAW sequencer and customize from there.

Someone posted about Reason Electric Bass Re today and must say, it looks nice. Gonna trial it tomorrow but have a feeling it I've already trialled it. Can it do slides, I need to revert to said Facebook thread.
