Just to let some of you know, that may be unaware, but I believe that the Reason 11 Factory Soundbank has been neutered, and some patches and sounds have been removed. Anybody else notice this?

As some of my earlier Reason projects, from Reason 1-9, work perfectly fine in Reason 10, but have factory files missing in Reason 11.
All my Songs are self contained, but i think that only applies to files outside of the factory sound banks.

So Just a heads up, to Keep Reason 10 alongside Reason 11.

Happy music making with Reason in some form. :D

Can you give us a few examples of missing sounds?

Backward compatibility is a big part of the Ph/RS agenda. So I can't imagine any files or presets were removed. There must be something else going wrong.
:?: The question is - Who cares :?:

yes, I had also some time ago those issue. There was a sample that wasnt found. It was a loop from the factory Library I have used in one of my older songs. I dont know now which sample that was, because I had changed the loop in the song and resave it. Maybe it has to do with rights for the sample content...?

Regarding backwards compatibility-be aware that Reason 11 song files will not load in Reason 10. I trialled R11, only to find this out when the trial ended, and I decided upgrade wasn’t worth it!

I would still like to see specific examples of missing sounds. Really suprised and I cannot imagine any licensing issues coming into play.

The only compatibility issue in Reason I am aware of is the guitar amps.

I dont have R11, but some time ago I had an interest in retrieving all the wav files from the factory sound banks, that also is possible if you want to have those waves in a separate folder.

My sincerest apologies everyone. It was not from the factory soundbank but a 3rd party refill.

Ill do my homework before posting a thread up again.

Aw. But I've got my pitchfork out now. Maybe I'll go ahead and storm RS HQ anyway.
