Guess the beta release date for Reason 10.3 ...
zero chance that’s the case. Props explicitly stated 10.3 would address VST performance as a free update. and it will be.
I wouldn't mind if it dropped in the summer. I don't have any issues paying for updates. I just don't have any idea what they have cooking in the next release. At least we know whatever they put out will definitely be fun to use and get this forum red hot with conversation.

which they later corrected and apologized for.

I just remembered that Mattias had stated in one of the threads here that vst performance update could be not the only thing that would appear within the R 10 version, and we would be pleasantly surprised. As for some speculations concerning R 11, it might be possibly focused on graphics updates and some sequencer improvements

I'm curious where (which thread) Mattias mentioned this?Michaellos wrote: ↑11 Mar 2019I just remembered that Mattias had stated in one of the threads here that vst performance update could be not the only thing that would appear within the R 10 version, and we would be pleasantly surprised.

Maybe I talked about 10.2? That was pretty great, so in that case I agree with myself.
Im still on reason intro ( will that £169 ) price be avalable in black friday for reason 11 even better do one better for £100 ill bite your arm off , selling reason seven and moving to other softwares for a little while was the worst thing i ever done i got nothing done , reason is my thing just stuck on intro for a bit until a big sale comes ( current one is too soon for me ) kids birthdays coming
again, zero chance they will do that. the improvements will of course be in 11, but there’s literally no reason whatsoever to think they’re abandoning 10.3.

Hi guys, when I did my post I think I had in mind these words of Mattias :
in that threadI realize this is a jab on Reason 10, but a granular synth and modern wavetable synth were pretty highly requested a while back. But if your expectation is that we won't do anything off that list in Reason 10.X or Reason 11, at least you'll be pleasantly surprised!

And later on there was some feedback
Actually, there was no certain information about Reason 10.5 or something like that, I guess I remembered incorrectly the words of Mattias, sorry for brining some misconceptionI am happy for the new Synths in Reason 10 and waiting to be "pleasantly surprised" by the mysterious 10.X.
I would really like to have some graphic updates together with the VST improvement. Not really much but some more up to date graphics keeping buttons placement and functionality as it is now would be nice. But VST improvement is really what we most needMichaellos wrote: ↑11 Mar 2019I just remembered that Mattias had stated in one of the threads here that vst performance update could be not the only thing that would appear within the R 10 version, and we would be pleasantly surprised. I'm predicting May 10 and that props are waiting on answers from some major VST vendors regards buffer handling eg in Shreddage 3, UAD2 Classic Roland Emulations and StrumGS. Many of the VST already work in conjunction with Reasons buffer adjustments but they are delayed in testing a few hard ones. The final one, Shreddage 3 Stratocaster, will be finalised on May 2 leaving one week for final beta build end-to-end testing and bundling prior to releasing.

Shreddage 3 runs in Kontakt, which is one plugin I think you can be quite certain has been tested very thoroughlyDante wrote: ↑12 Mar 2019I'm predicting May 10 and that props are waiting on answers from some major VST vendors regards buffer handling eg in Shreddage 3, UAD2 Classic Roland Emulations and StrumGS. Perspiring.
I really loved the addition of Europa and Grain! So Reason 10 is a winner in that regard. The performance issues drive me crazy though and I only create simple loops as a result. Even when not using VSTs, performance on a Mac got so much worse. And I always thought that Reason and Macs are meant to be togetherltbrunt00 wrote: ↑11 Mar 2019I wouldn't mind if it dropped in the summer. I don't have any issues paying for updates. Yes inspiring, maybe I had some beer to much
They were like "this is gonna be easy - hey mattias tell 'em it'll be soon" then they actually started and were like 'oh fuuuuuuuuck".

Sad state of affairs - i have actually started using Logic - i have way to much work on to be waiting for Reason to sort their act out. Ive been using Reason for about 15 years now and if they supported VST's from the get go like all the other DAWS from back in the day we wouldnt be in this hot mess. This update has to be pretty damn special like better than Logic and Reaper or else i wont be using Reason again. Also SO MANY things need to be added to Reason like all the chaps have mentioned in this post.
Its sad because i see a lot of vids online about production etc and they always mention Logic, Ableton, Pro Tools, sometimes Reaper but Reason as a professional DAW never gets a mention, its just telling you Reason has a long long long way to go to catch up to all the other DAWS so its on the lips of the so called professional world.
I do hope this update smashes all the other DAWS out of the water in terms of VST Performance and so so so much more, i mean like simple things that shouldve been added 10-12 years ago...i feel this update will be make or break time for props...
To reason or not to reason now that will be the question for so many...thanks for reading my rant lol.
