Well you're the one saying European colonization in Africa was comparable to banning memes. You seem to get both history and the law wrong. Colonization was much worse than you seem to imagine and the Article isn't about memes.bxbrkrz wrote: ↑29 Jun 2018Can't beat The Berlin folks, that is true. They did a great job with the brushing.

You cannot create a meme. You cannot control a meme, It's an organic thing. It is hard to understand when getting passed a certain generation age.
Article 13 will help people becoming better meme artists, the Light Bearer funny memes, thanks to its eurocrats, well known funny bunch themselves.
This. Is a great meme.
Stop the censorship-machinery! Save the Internet!
The push by a few eurocrats (the mask in front, big corporations behind) for controlling how people express themselves on the free expression highway is worse than what the Congo Conference did to the black continent. Yes. Article 13 is the gateway drug to Mass Mind Enslavement on a much bigger scale.
As far as imagining how bad Colonization was, I can tell you I am a living proof of it. In living color so to speak, with all its delicious shades of brown. I can look back see myself in Africa, and Europe. My history is in my DNA. I don't believe I need to be told how I should learn more about the African Diaspora when I am the African Diaspora, especially not from people who don't know their own past history.
Putting people under the bondage of a few is not restricted to an ethnic group on a continent however. Taxing people for drinking water from a natural stream is not a reality in most part of the world. Article 13 is a way of taxing people from the natural stream of exchanging free, new ideas.
This is bad for everyone. The internet should not be controlled by childless fossils whose lonely imagination of the future stops at the end of their natural demise.
If anyone has a soul destroy Article 13. If one don't, or too old, support it.

I am not for censorship, but what little I understand it could be a good thing....
"Thanks to a longtime exploitation of ‘safe harbor’ loopholes in copyright law, YouTube has only paid the bare minimum in royalties. Despite having nearly 1.4 billion users uploading and watching user-generated content – including music videos – payouts are notoriously low. According to the latest calculations, artists and other content creators only receive $0.0007 per video play.
Now, Google could be forced to pay the music industry billions."

Copyright legislation took already far to much from the commons and is about to take another step now.

I didn't watch the video yet, but after reading up from both sides, I now am going to agree with you. my biggest concern after the obvious things like censorship and allowing already big companies to have the advantage over new start ups, etc...is the algorithms by youtube and other big names are not very good, so anything they have most likely is going to be the same and make a lot of mistakes.bxbrkrz wrote: ↑30 Jun 2018

If you only knew. Battle in front of the world. Battle in pm world. Non stop.
The only other time I got a pm ever was from the great Ryan on a Prop issue with my account. In 2015!
Dude needs a life.
A reminder: There is no such a thing as a private message on an internet forum when you use a product/service you don't own, you don't control. This is why Article 11 and 13 are abominations; they'll do the same for the whole internet. You won't be able to comfortably insult people in private anymore because of a philosophical divergence.

Replying to me will take you more time than watching it. Take the time for yourself and the next generation. The video is well produced and full of memes (in purpose, as in fair use of a copyright, what Article 11 and 13 are destroying). The people defending 11&13 have no idea why they do it. I would have a bit of more respect for them if they were paid lobbyists, and not doing it for free.MarkTarlton wrote: ↑30 Jun 2018I didn't watch the video yet, but after reading up from both sides, I now am going to agree with you. my biggest concern after the obvious things like censorship and allowing already big companies to have the advantage over new start ups, etc...is the algorithms by youtube and other big names are not very good, so anything they have most likely is going to be the same and make a lot of mistakes.bxbrkrz wrote: ↑30 Jun 2018

You agree with the freedom of being a creative person, for all. Especially with very low income people, with new and recent access to the internet.

Well... yeah, if only because things change Thats why law is only one part of our system, theres also courts etc.
Europa is becoming an orwelliang novel. After tsiriza have to go back to greece with Chipras tail between his legs, I am more than convinced that europe is far from being democratic. As a spanish leftwinger, I've always looked at USA as the empire, the land of untrue freedom. But, after living in spain with de "Mordaza" Law lately, that has condemned already more than 20 people, mostly musicians because of their opinions against , The Royal Family,l The Church, The Almighty Politics etc... (lyrics and tweets) and europa allowing it, plus the police shitshow in Barcelona (1st of october 2017) for denying people's right to vote, and again europa don't saying anything about it...I don't feel that we europeans mantein the right to look to other places like we are in a higher moral ground...we are not! We are an autoritarian group commanded by the only interest of investors, not people. No Cultural European Union exits, only Economic European Union.
And this internet laws are one more nail in EU's coffin.

Only for the few, the ones you never voted for. For them left or right, it does not matter. Spread the message.tt_lab wrote: ↑01 Jul 2018Europa is becoming an orwelliang novel. One of the more stupid ideas of EU was VAT MOSS. Any European person needs to pay the tax/VAT for the own country. Making bookkeeping for webshops an incredible hassle.
Theres definitely a lot of stupidity going on in the EU, there is definitely too much corporate interest in comparison to peoples interest, theres definitely a lot of money being wasted. But ask who put those stupid people there because they thought it's not that important, ask why the corporations had a better idea of how they could actually use the EU for themselves instead of just playing spoilt child, ask who actually gets the money and then proceeds to waste it. Those are not people coming from "EU LaLaLand", those are German, Italian, French, Polish, Hugarian etc. people. Italy is complaining that they don't get enough money while everybody KNOWS where the money goes that they get, Germany is asking everybody else to make a profit while they themselves as the economically most powerful nation just about break even.Marco Raaphorst wrote: ↑02 Jul 2018One of the more stupid ideas of EU was VAT MOSS. For me the question "is it better for countries to form one big team of states/countries or to go for their own independence?" is still a hard one.normen wrote: ↑02 Jul 2018Theres definitely a lot of stupidity going on in the EU, there is definitely too much corporate interest in comparison to peoples interest, theres definitely a lot of money being wasted. I would say: always divide power. So China turning too big is bad. VS being big is bad etc.
But on the other hand... don't know. Hard question. What I do see are many idiotic rules. I never voted for EU. But must say even then, I am not totally anti EU. I think it doesn't really matter. It comes down to the people. Not the politicians. We the people can even live with the most idiotic rules. We adapt.
No, why do people always think black OR white? It's pretty simple. You do everything as local as possible. Saving humanity from suffocating in their own atmosphere isn't something you can solve from your Texas farm with your rifleMarco Raaphorst wrote: ↑02 Jul 2018For me the question "is it better for countries to form one big team of states/countries or to go for their own independence?" is still a hard one.

I mean either totally localized power or totally centralized power. The proper way would be what I said, BOTH. You need something EU or even world level for some things and for many things you can basically do it in the village council and that's what should be done then. Both extremes just don't work.Marco Raaphorst wrote: ↑02 Jul 2018What do you mean with "why do people always think black OR white"?

I can understand people who don't want EU. Costs a lot of money and it's still not clear if it is effective. So if that is the proper way, I don't think that crystal clear.normen wrote: ↑02 Jul 2018I mean either totally localized power or totally centralized power. The proper way would be what I said, BOTH.
