What a great commerical
Layers wave edition
https://shop.propellerheads.se/rack-ext ... e-edition/
Of course they made a 90's version of Layers. Apparently, Waldorf Wave is the inspiration behind this and it will provide the sound of the future of the past for 100 bux. I already own Layers and I like it, but I don't really use it that much. Will ceratinly check this out, but it will have to wait a little.
2018 has been a really busy year in terms of RE releases.
Edit: haha, someone beat me to it, ah well.

Well, you also posted a link to the store and a screen grab, so I'll chime in to yours. Looks pretty cool, but I have virtually no need for something like this. I'll pass.
The "commercial" made me chuckle, though.
Win 10 | Ableton Live 11 Suite | Reason 12 | i7 3770k @ 3.5 Ghz | 16 GB RAM | RME Babyface Pro | Akai MPC Live 2 & Akai Force | Roland System 8, MX1, TB3 | Dreadbox Typhon | Korg Minilogue XD
Yes, that was pretty great! In genreal, I think Propellerheads are on point with their video content.

Nicely done video again!
But so unsettling that the '90s are retro now

This is probably the best advert for a plugin I've ever seen haha. I had the pleasure of doing some presets for this and you can catch a bit of my demo track at the end as well, although I was definitely shooting for an 80s thing! \m/ Yeeeeh boy. It's a fun RE as well btw, obviously!

I dunno - I'd say between Peff/Sonic Charge's CRAPER2 RE promo and the Prop's own Pulsar promo, those are up there, too!chimp_spanner wrote: ↑09 Apr 2018This is probably the best advert for a plugin I've ever seen haha.

Soo, I guess we'll see more synths done in Layers. Maybe a red Layers Nord Edition?

Your demo track is really fantastic. I’ve been listening to it on SoundCloud this afternoon while doing some desktop work.chimp_spanner wrote: ↑09 Apr 2018This is probably the best advert for a plugin I've ever seen haha. And by the way: ZETA kicks ass! What a terrific album that is.

The demo songs on the product page are vaporwave as heck, which if I'm honest gives me a much clearer (and completely different) impression of this synth than the promo video does. As funny as it is in isolation, the video seems kind of misdirected.

Thanks man! We're working (slowly) on a followup. But it's hard to fit in between a million other things ya know. Definitely going way more Cyberpunk next time though!marcuswitt wrote: ↑09 Apr 2018Your demo track is really fantastic. Literally just demo'd it for 5 minutes before buying. I love those Layers instruments (and for that matter LUNA). Almost 0 DSP usage, and the quality of the samples... awesome... and if you don't have to cream your pants after hearing a Waldorf Wave there's something wrong with you...
What's the size of this Rack Extension ?

Nice surprise this one. These Layers devices may not be true synths, but it's so easy to come up with inspiring and great sounds really fast. Many otherworldly samples to play around with.
My only gripe so far is that Propellerhead haven't yet made a mini tutorial for the original Layers device. Not that I really need a tutorial, but I'm sure it could uncover some cool possibilities I haven't yet noticed. Maybe I wouldn't feel this way if the release trailers were a bit more in depth about what's being offered.

Soooo....am I the only one who got the discount code that drops this down to $69 or what? Thanks, but still not buying it.
