See post above. Like I said, nothing specific, but enhancements is plural, so more than one...Billy+ wrote: ↑03 Jun 2022Actually not one workflow enhancement/feature was spoken about with R12 (HiDPI + CMBv2 + VST3) that's what R12 was /is all about. A lot of work for RS tbf but nothing in the sequencer was ever announced.stratatonic wrote: ↑03 Jun 2022Is Reason Studios saving all the "workflow" features that were promised for R12, and saving them for R13? I missed this memo.

Reason 14 looks really, really promising...

Ok. If we count bug fixing as workflow enhancements, they nearly have done their job

Otherwise, there are still 6 months left

regarding the workflow improvements, they were probably talking about the update to the search browser

I really don't care about a new player or even a new device. Of course, they do cause $$$.
M1 optimization and VST3 are all I really care about right now. I'm sure they can do more than one thing at a time. Or so I keep telling myself. Please, please, please stop pushing them out.

Good to hear, buddard wrote: ↑03 Jun 2022Just to clarify:
Reason Studios did not buy Robotic Bean or anything like that, they just employed me as a full-time developer for them.
I'm working for the team that's developing the Reason app itself, so I'm not making REs for Reason Studios.
All existing Robotic Bean devices are staying with Robotic Bean, and they will of course still be fully supported going forward -- In fact, I released a bug fix for Sequences a couple of days ago
your devices are far more consistent and now you're on the RS full time team maybe their math will be a little better (99 steps

Where did you dig that out from?stratatonic wrote: ↑03 Jun 2022See post above. Like I said, nothing specific, but enhancements is plural, so more than one...
The only info I've seen has basically said R12 is not getting anything worth buying - definitely not pre price increases let alone post.
I'm holding out hope for the next major version. May 2023

Just hope we still get the cheap 30 day full trial R+ as I'm not handling over £199 before I fully test it from now on.

Nice to see talented and devoted Reason folks being employed by RS fulltime. RS seems serious in its development onward, despite that R12 so far has had a lot of catch up dilemma. But I still sense hope for the future of Reason. RS team seem to have a clearer direction and plan now.

Happy days. Congrats to both Robotic Bean, outstanding RE dev, and to the props getting a good man to the team.

Just read the blog.
“ This year we have already added one new device to Reason, the BV-X Multimode Vocoder. ”
No they didn’t. They added it to the Shop.
VST3 expected “end of year”!!!
Nah!!! Bullshit. Not good.

Is this reason studios short term fix for gas? No point lusting after anything vst3 only for the immediate future

Ha ha I know. Was just trying to find one positive out of this pretty sad time jump for vst3 implementation. Seems like they must have a fair bit to do as their roadmap "plan" is 6 months off where they obviously hoped it would be.

Yes, I really expected to get VST3 before summer holidays. August/September ok, but end of the year felt not very rewarding I must admit. It must be a very tough task to do if it taken so long.

At least vst3 is on route, I've been waiting for vst midi to be fully implemented since we got access to vst.
And it's still not in the works......

I'm done unless there ever comes a $99 dollar upgrade. I hope in the future there is a hassle free way of moving RE content to a different drive.Billy+ wrote: ↑03 Jun 2022Where did you dig that out from?stratatonic wrote: ↑03 Jun 2022See post above. Just imagine paying $80 for "The Knock" VST plugin around Xmas 2021 which is VST3 only and not being able to use it until Xmas 2022. Words can't describe the frustration & disappointment I'm feeling right now. So since I use Reason 12 as my ONLY Daw I NO LONGER have any expectations so that I want have any more disappointments. Well the bright side of it is I can still make music & that's good enough for me...

How do you know it is 'not in the works'. For all we know, the obviously long time they need to implement VST3 support might be because they are implementing VST3 including the MIDI side of things. We will know if it was or wasn't 'in the works' when VST3 support finally lands in Reason. But right now, you just don't know.

I guess I don't know for certain
And Mattias did say it's on the list of todos viewtopic.php?p=537130#p537130 but I'm not holding out for it anytime soon.

I have been so excited to get the vst3 update. I wish it was coming sooner, but I am happy they let us know it would not be delivered soon. I was checking every day for updates. I also hope that add multitrack midi recording. I work a lot of things out on hardware but ultimately dump it in reason. Be nice to do it on one sweep. My system is already set up to receive midi all at once from several things. I just can't arm the tracks. I may be rambling. it is wine o clock here.
