Hey, I use Ableton and I'm interested in trying Objekt.

The trial Download link doesn't work. I tried with several browsers while logged in but the link is just inactive. It says on the product page that I already demo-ed it. But I never managed to actually DL the trial. (I tried demoing Friktion a year ago and had the exact same issue and forgot about Friktion).

Do you need to purchase Reason in order to run instruments like Objekt, or is Reason Rack free (that's what the VST version of Reason is called right??).

I'm confused with the whole Reason instruments / VST logic. Don't want to purchase Objekt and then have to purchase some Reason host.

Sadly there is no free empty Reason Rack Plugin. Thus you have to have a working Reason license (perpetual or Reason+) to try out (and use) Rack Extensions.

Reason has a trial but objekt is not a rack extension contained within the perpetual licence so your best bet is to trial reason+. They used to do a £1 month but unsure if it's still available.

If you like objekt you then would need to either buy a perpetual licence and the objekt rack extension or pay for Reason+.

Sadly there is no cheap way to just buy one rack extension for use in another daw.

Try Reason+ for a month. You can get access to all that stuff and try out EVERYTHING Reason has to offer.
