sorry, I’m not following...the difficulty in connecting devices that aren’t near one another seems like a totally different problem than thinking it takes too long to flip the rack. if the connections were all on the front, but your devices were still the same distance apart, it wouldn’t save you any noticeable amount of time to drag the cable from point A to B.

what am I missing?

I do think the cable scrolling slowness is something that should be addressed though. certainly would be more helpful (and a bigger time-save) than putting connections on the fronts of devices.
No I didn't say anything about having cables in the front panel!
now I’m just confused why you quoted/responded to me in the first place. the comment I made that you quoted was about flipping the rack. not sure why you responded to that with an unrelated comment about rack scrolling... :?

With regards to solutions for long patching, Moog Model 15 on iPad addresses this wonderfully; double click a socket to start a connection. Go where you wanna go, double click to complete it. Can't think of a better way than that tbh.

Yes! This and the highlighting of possible connections would be great.

I'm gonna jump on this rack request bandwagon too. Can we get the ability to view the rack in two Windows? Sometimes I'd like to have the front of the rack on one monitor and the rear on another monitor.
What would happen when you press tab... they both flip, lol? This seems really unnecessary.

The rack would flip on the window that has focus currently. And no it's not totally unnecessary for people that spend most off their time in the rack doing sound design :plenty of re's are starting to have controls on the rear I'd like to adjust while keeping an eye on the front also sometimes I like to park the rear view on a certain area and keep returning quickly to that area whilst I'm scrolling around elsewhere on the front. Maybe a niche request but would it hurt to have the option?

Gotcha. I understand better now. Yes, wouldn’t hurt to have that as an option.

With all the mergers happening in the business world does anyone think the DAW developers will start consolidating? Could we see DAW mergers in the future.

That'd be nice. You'd be able to like..

Reason the Logic behind Ableton's Fruity Loops in a Cubase with Pro Tools, inside a Reaper's Studio One

Yeah sorry I got no love for Bitwig, neither for the other DAWs..

I noticed some things as well, which are signs that Reason 11 will have high resolution. Let’s hope it is true.
