SDK 3 and IDT2 introduces synths and effects designer (no code)!

A new generation of inventive Rack Extensions are waiting to be created! The latest version of the Rack Extension SDK enables developers to create their own Players, Reason’s unique and highly popular MIDI devices. It also includes support for pattern lanes – allowing Rack Extensions to use Reason’s pattern lane system. Furthermore, the new SDK provides improved sample support, allowing for multiple sample drop zones.
SDK 3 also introduces IDT2, a new instrument development toolkit based on UJAM Gorilla Engine. An end-to-end toolkit for building high-quality sample-based instruments, synthesizer or effect Rack Extensions without advanced coding knowledge.

Oh wow! So would you say if I can create my own kontakt instruments than I’d be able to create instruments with the IDT2?
DAW: Reason 12
SAMPLERS: Akai MPC 2000, E-mu SP1200, E-Mu e5000Ultra, Ensoniq EPS 16+, Akai S950, Maschine
SYNTHS: Mostly classic Polysynths and more modern Monosynths. All are mostly food for my samplers!

Ohh, I see. The Gorilla engine is probably what Softphonics and Turn2on use for their new rack extensions.
Maybe Softphonics can chip in and say how easy it is compared to scripting in Kontakt.Breach The Sky wrote: ↑08 May 2018Ohh, I see. The Gorilla engine is probably what Softphonics and Turn2on use for their new rack extensions.

Pattern Lane is a great edition. Does this work for REs AND players?
What about Notes to Lane, is this available now? I know there's a workaround, but it's a workaround.

Notes to track is only available for Players (via "Send to track" or "Direct record" in the Player header).
Its a great day!

Can IDT's now do full CV support? That would be a big deal
I installed Gorilla engine but its not loading/starting.
I tried starting it as admin and in different windows versions
Is someone else having this problem too?

I would ask this question on the RE forum on the Propellerhead Developer site.
I try to repeat about NDA for this public forum.
RE/IDT documantation have info about NDA
In docs all devs can read about NDA, that any talks are welcome to dev forum (its not for public forums):
Overview docs powered by UJAM, page 6.
All devs has signed the Jukebox/IDT NDA
Think about it before write anything with devs info on public forum..
Public announce its public info. Tech questions of devs for devs forum i think.

Please report posts that are breaking the NDA if any.

I think the mods who are Devs are best positioned to make that call really.
Otherwise you'll probably get lots of false positives and overreactions to minor responses to queries.
The general rule of thumb for NDAs is not to share what is not publicly known or cannot be derived from public knowledge, but also to tread lightly if there's been an excessive leak.
That being said, any questions Devs have should really be asked in the developer forum.

So this means that existing CV pattern devices could get pattern lane switching like Matrix and ReDrum? That'd be amazing if so! Obviously I love the players, but I also still really like working with CV too. Hopefully the appetite is there for devs to revisit their existing products!
There is still a lot of code. Just not the advanced c++ stuff.
