How come all of the DAWs release new major updates each year but because it's Reason it can't happen. Just remember the company got bought out by a private equity firm, put new leadership in place, hired a bunch of new staff & changed the name of the company. Why do all of that just to continue operating the same way it doesn't make sense. That's a poor business model and one destine to fail, I'm just saying by the end of September early October Reason 12 just makes sense..

no one’s saying it can’t happen. I’m just saying it’s not likely. and “all of the DAWs” don’t release new major updates every year, that’s simply false.jaeproduced wrote: ↑13 Aug 2020How come all of the DAWs release new major updates each year but because it's Reason it can't happen. new ownership and a name change doesn’t mean the business model will drastically change. of course it makes sense that they keep the business model largely intact. they bought the company because the old business model got Propellerhead enough of a dedicated user base to warrant it being worth selling. their prerogative to change it, sure, but no need to break it if it’s working.
destined to fail, according to who? we internet keyboard jockeys? what do any of us know about what makes a good business model?

I might as well write this request on toilet paper or yell it down a manhole.MannequinRaces wrote: ↑18 Jul 2020How is this a bug, lol? You know there’s a feature request forum.
I'm with you on this. Especially after watching ryan's video that shows a new device and something blurred out in the browser. It would make good business sense to build on the momentum that i think they've gained with reason now being able to be able to be used as a plugin and as a tie in to all the free versions they gave away last month.jaeproduced wrote: ↑11 Aug 2020I'm thinking Beta Testing should start mid August & end Mid September with Reason 12 coming out at the end of September 2020...

If Reason 12 starts beta testing in mid-August 2020 and comes out at the end of September 2020, I will buy each and everyone of you who has posted in this thread a $100 gift card to Chuck E. Cheese.

Bet....
I would be surprised if we would see Reason 12 announced or out in 2020.
My bet without any inside info would be q1-q2 2021. I am not even sure RS have the release time any more accurate.

Just posting to be eligible for the gift card, just in case. Only because I'm 100% certain that will not happen.
Is there a cut off point for this, or can I post in October if R12 comes out in September. Note that this counts as a post also, although I'd appreciate something more global like KFC or something. Thanks.EnochLight wrote: ↑17 Aug 2020If Reason 12 starts beta testing in mid-August 2020 and comes out at the end of September 2020, I will buy each and everyone of you who has posted in this thread a $100 gift card to Chuck E. Chuck E Cheese IS open for business, and there is still one Blockbuster open in Oregon.
Send me some cards I'll use them, lol...
This includes Circuit City and Radio Shack too. Yep, those bands are still here.
Now I will see if I can get me an Oldsmobile from GM, hmmm, that might hit some road block tho...

I’m thinking we’ll see a proper successor to the Pontiac Solstice before we see R12 at the end of September 2020.Boombastix wrote: ↑17 Aug 2020Chuck E Cheese IS open for business, and there is still one Blockbuster open in Oregon.

I mean, they just released 11 like 10 months ago AND there’s a pandemic going on, which slowed them down because they had to adjust how they work, AND they get like a month summer break, AND somehow we still expect them to announce a new full version of Reason a month after all that? that’s some wide-eyed 2019 optimism, right there.
I kinda would be up for this, but as a busy guy, I'm not having enough time for everything. But I sure will enter the public beta when Reason 12 will be announced.
