1.2.3.5 is what i downloaded yesterday.

What is the firmware loaded on the P4 (hold the x1 and x2 buttons down at the same time), my P1 is 01.14.03

Hmm, those lines are to do with Redrum Drum Computer, that mapping has not been touched in years.....

So steps to take:
Double check firmware version and update if needed.
Run both of the Nektar setup programs.
reinstall the mapping from the dropbox after the setup programs are completed.

so when i hit verify with my original remotemap this is the message i get. oh okay but upon hitting program i verified and it said success. 1.0.7.6 i think is the version it installed?

I just checked the bin\firmware version for the P4 which is 01.14.03.

So on your Nektar, press both of the x1 and x2 buttons (they are the buttons directly under the display, the first 2 together), the screen should change and you can see your firmware.

Hmm. Well these are the files I have in my account on nektartech. Guess I gotta track down the newest firmware somehow. That's fairly annoying to be honest lol. But at least I'm making headway.

I just checked my account, you download the file Panorama_P4_Reason_Integration_Win_2024-09 (unless you are on a Mac)
The firmware is in the directory firmware, version 01.14.03 (Panorama_P4_FW_V011403.bin)
update your firmware if needed, as I said double check on the P4 by hitting the x1 and x2 at the same time.
then run
Panorama_P4_Win_1.2.3.5.exe
Panorama_Reason_Support_WIN_1.8.3.exe

Hi. I just did these steps and feel like i'm missing something. i replaced the remotemap file - is there anything else to do? when I reboot my P6 and re-open reason, and go to a device I know is in the remotemap (because i pasted your code and saved) and enter instrument mode, I see "no mapping."
what am i missing?

*edit* i just checked and it looks like there are a few places where remotemap files live. in program files/nektar, and in ProgramData/Propellerhead/Remote, as well as a subfolder there called Maps; and then there's an empty Remote folder in the User AppData Roaming folder for Propellerhead. so where is the one spot to rule them all?

also, i keep getting this error when i lock the motorized fader to CTRL room and then attempt to use one of the 8 channel faders to adjust a channel volume.

I have always used C:\ProgramData\Propellerhead Software\Remote

This is another location that I don't use however I know with some PC's you need to use it, I think it comes down to when you installed Reason originally, it may have asked if you want to install it for yourself or everyone.

also, i keep getting this error when i lock the motorized fader to CTRL room and then attempt to use one of the 8 channel faders to adjust a channel volume.

I have checked the mixer remotemap file and that line (4225) should no way cause that error, also true of the panorama.remotemap, so I not sure what is going on, you have selected the correct preset on the Nektar?

i did not see a mixer remotemap on your dropbox, so it's using whichever one is installed by the latest from nektar for reason. which preset? i see presets 1 and 2 are "nektar 1 and 2" and all the other presets are for devices/software not reason-related(?).

The mixer map has never been changed hence why it's not there.

I'll try and fish my P4 out over the weekend and test.

Uninstalling my driver and reinstalling it is what fixed it for me, finally

I tried this. uninstalling all the things, rebooting and then reinstalling. still did it.
