File not opening

I was mixing a song before bouncing the stems. My computer won't allow me to do that unless I run Reason as an administrator, so I closed Reason and re-opened it as an administrator and now Reason says it can't open the file. A grey box comes up with a red cross and all it says is "The song (insert song name) cannot be opened".

I have tried everything I can think of but to no avail. Any suggestions or ideas from the community?
I need this track on Monday because an engineer is recording vocals to it
Any help would be greatly appreciated

If you have worked on it with say R13 it will probably not open in an earlier version. Also anything done with a beta version does not work in a full version. Stay out of beta versions for music production. But it can be many things. Sounds like your Reason installation is incomplete if you have this strange problem with the app. You should just have one Reason installation ideally as you want all your files to match that version.

That sounds really frustrating! I’d suggest rebooting your computer and running Reason normally instead of as an administrator. If the file still won’t open, check if the file path has changed or try using a backup. Also, when dealing with stress like this, sometimes reading Surah Yaseen PDF can help bring some calm and clarity to clear your mind. I hope you're able to resolve it before Monday

Just happened to me too but I didn't do anything special to make this happen. I am the administrator and I don't do beta testing. I've been working on a song every day for a while now. Last night no problems recording, mixing.. and all the sudden today it won't open and I'm on a serious deadline to finish by Monday. Already tried reboot, update, sent a ticket to RS, blah blah blAHHHH!

Not good. RS can often fix broken files but keep backups!

Can you try to create a copy oft the file and then open it?

Also check your HDD/SSD for errors and try to disable your anti-virus.
