If this is the strategy then they should release a new refill of combi 2 patches that take advantage of the new devices that have superseded the half racks. But that’s the Propellerhead way. Reason Studios doesn’t roll like that, they are more likely to make new devices, not include them as stock, and put a £99 price tag on them that gives more incentive to sub to R+
Your guess for next RS RE

I highly doubt RS would implement it in any way close to your suggestion as that would be very device specific code that would entangle the sequencer with the Rack. Keeping both as strongly separated as possible is the route they chose when introducing the RRP.ShadowMatriks wrote: ↑04 Dec 2024Oh for the love of god yes.A new Dr Rex update is needed
I think they should completely overhaul how slice editing works and move it all to the new midi edit window. So you can see note to note what effects are being used from slice edit, rather than having to dodge between the device display and sequencer.
They could have the slice edit display parameters mirrored in the sequencer. The new midi edit window could adapt when you switch to editing midi for Octorex and you'd have the advantage of it all being in the same place a long with the F8 tools.
Stuff I've made and my BC.
please reasonstudios
This is the way
if Parsec2 is the king of virtual additive modulation in the DAW world,
Complex2 will be the king of virtual west cost modular sound
R13, ten years later and still no Grammy
Each of those instruments cost easily 100 bucks or more depending on quality. How much would such a Reason full or update cost if it would be build in?
Maybe they sell them separate and add them to R+ only or provide some bundles like the Rigs in the past?

I’ve been asking for this for years. It would be great if it’s like a Complex combinator where you can infinitely build a modular system. Just keep the modules small and somewhat simple like kinda like Kilohearts.
Hi
The next Re will be a MultiRexx capable of launching 8 Rexx loops simultaneously with the possibility of triggering them in the order you want and with 8 different patterns
I threw out an idea just to participate in the post.

I thought the thread was about next Re by RS, not the next Re that will be included in the next version upgrade. Imagine waiting a couple of years and zero new Res from RS?
True. So no discussion about RVMK3 or something...PhillipOrdonez wrote: ↑05 Dec 2024I thought the thread was about next Re by RS, not the next Re that will be included in the next version upgrade. Imagine waiting a couple of years and zero new Res from RS?
Most/all devices RS created in the last years were RE... Regardless if build in or not.

Yeah there’s been very few that aren’t Re since the launch of the format, right? I think the echo was the first Re they made or something like that?

I would love to see an experimental device like Strega, maybe a looper that is not tied to the grid, something like Soma's cosmos. Something they should have done long ago is an updated ART. Maybe an ART just for vocals. Reason could also use some amp sims. amp sims ART. Need a line of ARTs in different colors. So the original would be the orange ART. The Black Art should be the AMP sim art. It could have filters like Jimi, Eddie, Gilmour mopey (that is for Robert Smith). Make me some Flavored ARTs. The vocal ART should have the classic ADT. I guess I have rambled enough for now about stuff that no one is going to do.

Just grab Voltage Modular and run it in Reason.Chi-Individual wrote: ↑05 Dec 2024

this was somewhat obvious to bring up.huggermugger wrote: ↑05 Dec 2024Just grab Voltage Modular and run it in Reason.Chi-Individual wrote: ↑05 Dec 2024

as much as I enjoy VM or VCV, I think they have done something nice with Complex-1.
It is modular, but it is compact and less overwhelming and more in the spirit of the experimental nature of Reason, which seems to become a kind of relic.
Also things like Panda's PSQ sequencer fall into this realm.
What we long for is highly depending on the scenario we use Reason in.
For example, for a RRP user within another dAW updated Mclass devices will not be of big interest.
Don't really care anymore.
