I have a whole load of DNA Labs refills (around 2GB) which I bought and paid for but which I know I will never, ever use. How does it work with giving them away? There doesn't seem to be any license attached to them. I'm not lying about not using them after gifting them and they will be deleted directly from my hard drive (although that will be hard to prove).
Anyone know what the legal/ ethical issues attached to this are. If it's confirmed it's OK then I'll put them here here, whole bundle, first to the windmill as they say in Sweden.
Can I gift (not sell) refills I have bought but will not use?

I'd suggest messaging them? As far as I'm aware transferring REs is still a no no even gifting them because RS have no way of knowing if money is exchanged through another means.
Yes it sucks and yes it is a silly policy. I have loads of REs I don't use any more and I'm stuck with them in my account doing nothing, I still have no idea why I bought the sugarbytes ones and Rotor among others.

Hi, just a quick clarification: refills are licensed products, and the license isn’t transferable unless the creator explicitly allows it.
Sharing or redistributing them violates the terms of use and the effort creators put into making these.
If you want to transfer a license, always check directly with the author.
Supporting creators by respecting licensing keeps the community strong.

Try doing something great with them? Fun tip: the NN-XT waveform editor is extremely powerful as it helps finding forward looping points better than anything I've ever tried before. And I worked with every sampler ever made except Synclavier and the original Emulator. Your edits become self contained so you are truly unlimited in Reason.

You know I love your refills man. If I can't give these DNA refills away though I'm just going to delete them anyway.bitley wrote: ↑28 Nov 2024Try doing something great with them?
