Click ”shop” then ”add-ons”.
The RE-shop is unfortunately quite hidden on the site, I had a hard time finding it myself when they did the redesign last time.
I really hope they will make it easier to find - REs are undeniably the best plugin-format for Reason and I think they should be proud of the huge catalog of devices in the shop.
Anyway, here's the direct link: https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/

It's very sad what direction the company took over the recent years. The soul, vibe and some quality standards have gone after the new CEO came into the company. Questionable and controversial features are not the only concern, the approach they took regarding the RE platform is a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT.
Their RE enthusiasm has completely faded out and they behave like they want totally abandon the RE platform. In fact, RE platform / market is nearly abandoned. Just look how they behave regarding the RE promotion - there isn't any. The RE shop is hidden deep somewhere on the website, no more visible promotions for RE sales, they only promote their own devices and Reason itself. RE platform deserves to show directly on the main/landing page, where small area would be dedicated to showing new RE devices or updates. Nearly all developers run away and no new major devices appear a long time ago except a very few developers like you or Turn2On. I admire all of you who have still some enthusiasm to continue and develop new devices. But without you, the RE market is completely dead. I don't understand why company do everything to abandon that awesome and unique RE platform.
Here is the RE introduction 12 years ago:

They're hidden from view. Reason doesn't want you buying rack extensions, they want you to become a subscriber, which is why the main landing page for Reason is all about R+ and has nothing to do with Reason 13 Perpetual. It's the most dreadful product landing page I've ever seen. You can't find any information for all the hype, and if you're epileptic or autistic, watch out!
I was trying to think of better ways it could be presented/organized... Aside from just having one shop page (because on the "Add-ons" page, the first featured advertisement you see is for Reason anyways), maybe having two separate tabs at the top for "Shop Reason" and "Shop Add-ons"?
But those ideas aside, without changing the current structure, maybe things could simply be made more clear and prominent by just adding some images/bigger buttons?
Example:

That landing page is really awful and repelling. Neurotic, flashing meaningless animations with GIGANTIC fonts over the whole screen. There is absolutely no information value, the only thing you want to do when you land there is get out of there as quickly as possiblehuggermugger wrote: ↑21 Nov 2024They're hidden from view. I love REs! I hope they never go away - getting a new one feels more like getting a new piece of gear, rather than a new piece of software. But maybe VST support has made them less relevant? I dunno. I still think they're great, and when they're well made and have lots of CV connectivity you can just get absolutely crazy with them. I'm glad some devs are still making awesome new devices, like Turn2On and Ekssperimental Sounds.
@ joeyluck, very cool and intuitive step for shop link with icons. This looks as here all at own place.
Very hard to find this small text link sometime, also when you already know where it must be..

Or maybe things could simply be made more clear and prominent by getting rid of the current abomination and hiring a web designer who understands User Interface and Usability.
Yeah I think otherwise it's ok.
It's probably more difficult to find currently just because the rest of the site is bigger and louder.
Also I just now noticed that it says "Reason+ includes additional features, instruments, and effects..."
Are they perhaps trying to refer to the other players and their functions as additional features?

I brought this up a while ago. It is really weird how they have almost hidden access to REs, there have been some poor decisions recently from the new browser to the new site design. I find their website frustrating and obnoxious and rarely go there.
Tend the flame
This was at least an improvement from what it was in the previous changes to the website...at which point "shop" was no longer a main tab at the top and you had to scroll to the bottom of the page to find it. So at least that came back.

Haven't cared about Reason since they launched the Reason+ subscription. I used to spend a few thousand dollars a year on Rack Extensions and other Reason related stuff.
Not anymore. I'm not a slight bit interested in R+. It would be nice if, someone on the Reason Studio team would acknowledge this thread and the very valid complaints being spoken about.
I love Reason 12 and still use it from time to time but am definitely on my last leg. The new Reason website is terrible and uninteresting and they basically hid all of the REs.

The only difference I see is that Reason Extensions are now called Add-Ons. Not the best choice, I must say.
But yeah, the RS home page is a disaster, in every sense of the word. I reported it makes me feel nauseous.

Well no, "Add-ons" includes Rack Extensions, ReFills, Combinator patches—pretty much everything else other than Reason that you can buy in the shop to add to Reason. Another option could be "optional content", but that's not as concise and doesn't sound as good. "Add-ons" makes sense to me.hamsterfactor wrote: ↑25 Nov 2024The only difference I see is that Reason Extensions are now called Add-Ons. Not the best choice, I must say.
Just a reminder that this is a user-run forum. It's nice when Reason Studios staff drops in from time to time, but we can't expect that they read everything. I'm a moderator here and I don't even have time to read everything.Mysterygrimms wrote: ↑25 Nov 2024It would be nice if, someone on the Reason Studio team would acknowledge this thread and the very valid complaints being spoken about.
That said, I did report this to them with my suggestion and it was acknowledged and the note has been passed along. That's the best way to get in touch with them and have our suggestions heard.

Certainly feels that way ..........huggermugger wrote: ↑21 Nov 2024They're hidden from view. Reason doesn't want you buying rack extensions.
...... they couldn't even be bothered updating the design of the 'Add-ons' page inline with the new site design!
I was super surprised to see the add-ons tab, I can only assume they figured new users coming to Reason wouldn't know what rack extensions were and were more likely to think of them as add-ons, aside from that what you are saying makes a lot of sense.huggermugger wrote: ↑21 Nov 2024They're hidden from view.
