I know Arjanders , I think many users miss favorites. It's important and worth appreciating that improvements are still being made.
Hope the team is also thinking about bringing back favorites.

As RS has mentioned elsewhere on the internet, they're not just thinking about it :)

i don't mean to challenge your claim, I'm not being facetious or anything, but where did they ever say this?
Article, Interview, RS video, etc?

If i could confirm that was true i would have already upgraded.

I had the same issue I had with the 13.02 update. It tells me that the AAX is write protected and I have to either delete it from the avid plugin folder or change the attributes. Shouldn't the installer know to mark the attributes as writable WHEN it installs the AAX?
I seem to be able to update most other AAX plugins without issue.

Wondering if R13.0.4 is coming before the end of the year. We haven't had any new updates or feature updates since R13 was launched almost 5months ago only bug fixes. I really hope we don't make it to 6months without any new updates that would suck...

Oh, well. Yesterday I gave this version a try and imported most of my rather huge sample (~1.5 TiB in ~700k files) and Refill libraries (~138 GiB, including 26.5GiB R+ packs).
Here are my results:

After only a few hours of scanning it finished and resulted in a __ReasonIndex_v7 file of about 2.7 GiB.
Starting Reason 13.0.3 now takes about 4 minutes.
After a fresh start opening the browser has all locations flagged with a "re-scan pending" icon, but the search function works and returns results after a while (be patient, as there is no indication of the search actually working on the task).
The interface is rather spartan and boring.
Flat view is missing options for detailed information where a file is from (unless you reorganise your sample collection to just have single level directory structure for each sample set).
Re-scanning the locations seems to take ~1 hour.

So in comparison to (old) Loopcloud 5 I rate the new browser in R13 to be at a state of still being just barely useable for me. It is still very far behind when it comes to speed, UI and features when dealing with lots of samples.

Things that would really help:
  • Add an indicator that a search query is (still) running (also needed when switching views from "Flat" to "Tree" and v.v.)
  • add a waveform display with seek/scrub functionality
  • Add more parent levels to flat view
  • Add file size and duration and BPM to sample details
  • custom tags
  • use colours! (for icons, file types, waveform, tag families, etc.)
  • make it go faster (if Loopcloud could/can do it, you can do it, too.)
In total from my software development POV the browser now seems to be at least at a state where it can be thought of as an MVP tech demo and ready for (internal) beta testing, but still pretty far from "production ready". It's a very good start, but further work is still very much needed. Maybe RS could just buy or collaborate with Loopmasters to get Loopcloud integrated or to learn a few of their implementation details.

Did you delete ALL of your cache files and restart your computer? I had similar problems with continuous indexing & empty folders but once I deleted All of my Reason cache files on my Macbook Pro and restarted R13 indexing is considerably faster now all of my files populate in the correct folders.

I'll reorganise things a little (i.e. put sample/refill libraries on the storage server instead of a local spinning rust disc) and give it another go to see how that would work out. But I'll most likely wait until the next release version drops before trying again.

I ran into the same issue again with 13.0.3 with a large library as you. I reached out to support, and they said that they do test with large libraries (but didn't specify exact size that is supported). In the end, I found that it works pretty good if I only import a SUBSET of my libraries into Reason browser, and just access the rest of my samples by navigating to the directory. I pointed out to the support team on the ticket that given that's the workaround, it's painful to always have to navigate from Computer->C: and find the files every single time. They said they'd give the feedback to the developers, so I'm hopeful.

Is the existence of Reason 13 the reason why I now get an "Update Rack Extension License" message on startup of Reason 12?

Reading that sentence gave me a hernia.
