Nice, a MPC!!!! I considered that too, but choose the Force in the end. Want to simplify my setup and workflow, and stop using PC’s as much as possible. If I keep the Force, I have 60 days to decide, I will proberly sell my Ableton Push 2 to make room and money for accessories for the Force.
What did you just buy yourself?

Signalwise, TRS is better than TS as far as noise is concerned. Less influences from the outside world, so you have a win win situation!
K&M makes good stuff, actually the best I know for normal money…….

Yeah, they are great, I have my S-RM800 for many years now, and recently hooked to my new A34, and really loving it!
Although for everyday internet use, I have an iPad gen 9, I’m not a real Apple fanboy - everything is way too expansive.
Samsung makes great stuff for normal prices, I bought my watch for around €250,= and my A34 for €300,=.
My use for the phone is simple: phonecalls, whatsapp, spotify in the car via an aux cable, parking app and that’s it!

now i have this galaxy watch 7 for few days and i must say its cool. although this is my first smart watch in my life. i am more than satisfied. i wanted to have a smart watch for few years. and now i have it. my primary goal was to get it to measure my steps - distance and so. and when i found that samsung's smart watch galaxy has a lot of those biometrical measurements for quite cheap price i said to myself i want it.
the only thing that bothers me a bit is it wont wake up for all gestures - it really has to be obvious that you want to wake it up - to see on it. and on the other side... it wakes up when i do not want to. heh. a bit frustrating but okey it does not bother me that much.
only maybe this - about apple products: i would have apple products but all of them and not other brand then. but apple products are quite expensive. so i have to satisfy myself with other brands.

Beside that an Apple watch is more expensive, I don’t the looks of it. I like the Samsung looks better.
Have fun with your new watch and have a nice weekend!

Ibanez RG9PB. It's ridiculous. Wanted a 9 string for years. Now I have it I realise it's like an entirely different instrument but it's exciting and challenging and I feel like I'm gonna make some disgusting music with it.

Laptop stands for some synths, also a decksaver, cables, and most importantly, a handheld vacuum cleaner to be used only on desk and studio gear.
@Miyaru congrats on the Force! Hope you enjoy it very much. I'm waiting for the MPC 3 software beta to be released which will make the live 2 i got a much better device than before because it's closer to the force in terms of software and features

Balanced is considered better to reject external interference if present, unbalanced is more of a purist approach because there is no additional circuitry in the signal path as there is with balanced lines (audiophiles also love unbalanced signals for this reason). But I will tell you, every time I’ve compared the two I’ve NEVER heard a noticeable difference in noise levels, so don’t expect miracles.
Also, there are two (that I know of) types of balanced outputs, only one of them drops levels if TS is used. For example, my Novation Peak uses “psudo balanced” outputs, and there is no difference in level between using TRS and TS cables.
So I’m guessing it’s not the Focusrite that is “dropping the level”, it is source (Roland) that does this.

Almost a month since I bought it, it is super comfortable and the sound quality is very good

Yes I'm very happy with my Force, within a month I'm creating mature music on it, and I get the hang of the Akai workflow!!!!!PhillipOrdonez wrote: ↑21 Aug 2024Laptop stands for some synths, also a decksaver, cables, and most importantly, a handheld vacuum cleaner to be used only on desk and studio gear.

Never compared the two ways of connecting, always used balanced where possible. But I'm sure you are right about it, never thought of it that way. Thanx for explaining!!!!selig wrote: ↑21 Aug 2024Balanced is considered better to reject external interference if present, unbalanced is more of a purist approach because there is no additional circuitry in the signal path as there is with balanced lines (audiophiles also love unbalanced signals for this reason). I just picked up this Yamaha SV200. It's pretty sweet! I love that it's blue.
Looking great!
I got mine in '73 but like a fool I sold it years later. Still remember the crazy molded plastic case and that 'new drum' smell (it was my first new piece of kit, so was a huge deal to me!).
My newest purchase is taking me down the EuroRack Effects rabbit hole, putting Intellijel Sealegs (selig's Sealegs?) and QuBit Nautilus, both just fitting in a 4ms skiff (an aquatic theme all around, it would seem).

After a decade or more, I finally bought a mousepad. You don't wanna know the things I used instead...
You'd be surprised how rare they were at shops for some reason.
But now, it was time. I also looked for more serious looking mouse and keyboard, since I wanted to look more serious for music/engineering work.
Then I saw a great mousepad with Pikachu on it today, where the price was a steal, and was instantly like "oh, who am I kidding?!".
I mean, if anything has Pikachu on it, you don't hesitate. You just don't...

Seriously though, this vocal-recording studio room of mine is almost like a hospital room. Zero decoration, empty white walls. Really needed that Pikachu. Makes all the difference.
I also got an MDF board to finally build wall-mounted stands for the speakers. It's covered in white plastic (laminated?). But you see, scratches are the least visible on white. Otherwise, I paint wood just green.
Speakers are black. So it will be black on white.
