For me, right now it's gotta be:
  • My MPC One - can't get enough of that workflow.
  • Arturia V Collection - those synths are pure magic.
  • Spitfire LABS libraries - endless inspiration in those things.
  • Korg Minilogue XD - a classic for a reason!
  • Can't pick just one RE, but loving what Eventide stuff is doing lately.

Is Eventide doing RE's now? Either that or I am misreading. Sounds very cool if so.

By Korg Minilogue you mean the hardware synth yes? I am going to listen to some sound demos of it, I don't know it well. Is it polyphonic?

Cheers :)

I had to buy all the REs I ever wanted to start to appreciate the simplicity, the efficiency and the power of the classic devices again. I love everything that came bundled with the first few versions of Reason and like all the newer PH/RS stuff and most of the third party rack extensions I have. Even if Reason had only the devices in the following list, I would still be happy with it.
I agree and the more I use Reason the more defined my instruments become. I use Europa for almost everything and it's well up to the job. The REs I have are great and inspiring and I wouldn't give them up for anything but if I was forced to I could get by with just the few on my list here.

...Punch 2 is pretty darn good.
That's two mentions of RP Punch in a row! I must wipe the dust off and give this one another go.

I think a really good topic would be to list ONE plugin that we use the most out of every category. Would that be interesting?
Yes that could be interesting for sure, most of us probably have our go to devices for different tasks. Try make a thread about it if you want, I will answer if I am around and see it :)

Just noticed the other post, and they were recommending Punch BD which I think is quite awful, so definitely not in agreeance there. Definitely Metrum over that any day and I use Punch 2 for drums other than Kick drums. Just my 2c of course.

I'll wait a bit to start the other topic as it feels wrong when this one is going.

Cheers :)

I've been using something so basic but so often, the hp/lp forgotten clank re lol been doing first hp/lp and see how far I can go with the mix with just those filters. You'd be surprised how close you can get with just hp/lp

Trackspacer fairly often
Legend/antidote quite a bit
Waves Vitamin pretty regularly
Subtractor a lot.. pretty much use for bass and the occasional mono synth. Folks forget about using mono synths for stereo balance relative to wide synths. Been helping me alot keeping things a little more even mono-ish

Yea, Eventide is absolutely knocking it out of the park right now in the RE department, makes it kinda difficult to even consider any other devs at the moment… /s

1. Polytone. Reminds me of how I felt when I first used Subtractor back in v1. Superb device IMO.

2. Redrum. Never gets old.

3. The Legend RE.

4. Reason Drum Kits RE. Still sounds great.

5. OctoRex.
