Has the quality of the packs become any better?
Better or worse is completely subjective so you would really have to dive in and decide for yourself. Put it this way, if you like the Refill content from SKP, Soundcells, Navi Retlav etc then you will absolutely see value in the packs. :)

What I can say is that the packs have continued to evolve over the past couple of years. Generally speaking, the packs are now more focused and refined. Every element from the patches, the Combinators and the audio demo's are polished, high quality and all highly usable.

I've been wanting to ask about this: How are the Reason+ sound packs for Complex-1? Are new patches released frequently?
Here is a small selection of Complex 1 packs -

https://share.reasonstudios.com/pack/938
https://share.reasonstudios.com/pack/574
https://share.reasonstudios.com/pack/208

Packs are released weekly with usually 2-3 new packs per week.

:o Complex-1 and buchla are 2 of my favorite words. this pack sounds awesome.
Overall, I think the sound packs has a lot to offer. Congratulations to the sound designers.

You can go to :-
https://share.reasonstudios.com/
and see what the current 6 are

packs started at 0001
https://share.reasonstudios.com/pack/0001/

and the latest is 1037
https://share.reasonstudios.com/pack/1037

I'm not sure but I think there are a few that are either missing or pulled but if you change the four numbers after pack/XXXX you can read the blurb and listen to the audio ;)
Thank you Billy+

I like the Refill content from SKP, Soundcells, Navi Retlav. All top notch. Interested.
I am using the last update for reason 12.
So to be clear about reason+...
Lets say I subscribe for one month >
"if" I was to subscribe to reason + for one month, and I downloaded all the packs currently available, but then cancelled the subscription before the month ended, or on the day before the month ended>
Would the packs continue to be available for me to use after cancelling?
If I cancelled before the month ended, would the month purchased continue until the end of the month ?
(the site seems to indicate this)
Would I be charged for the next month? (the site seems to indicate this would not happen?)
I am interested in the packs, but since I own all the racks, to continue the subscription seems pointless.
I am unsure if I want reason 13 when it comes out on June 18, but I will still be able to try it before the subscription runs out. I might buy a perpetual license for 13 after the inevitable bugs are worked out.
I am undecided at this point. I have pretty much upgraded almost every version since 2.5> eventually.

You can download ALL the packs and you can keep them forever James made that crystal clear during the launch.

the only thing you will need to do if I remember correctly is you will need to create a new shortcut inside of Reason to browse the packs as the pack folder won't work if your subscription has lapsed. I put all mine an a usb stick and got all the first lot up until they started releasing R12 versions, then I carried on with my R11 Suite - what I would say like SKP has said is as they got more clearer about what they wanted stuff like full song rns files went to the wayside and I actually found them more interesting that the sounds them selves, having said that there are some really nice sounds in there.

2 years ago, I changed from monthly to annual during Black Friday Week (50% off). I got my money back for the remaining days of that month. Not sure if this works if you cancel completely. Worst case, you won't get any money back and will have R+ for the rest of the month. Normally no charge the month after.

And yes, you can keep all the downloaded packs, like Billy+ stated, the folder shortcut will no longer show, but the packs are still there and usable. Since you own all RS devices, you could do it like that.

Clear your agenda, cause you'll need to download them one by one ;)

edit: Sorry, I didn't read the statements in your screenshot. So it's probably how RS says it is :D
If you'll be stuck with it for a whole month, better wait til the 18th. You'll have enough time to get all the packs and play with the new devices

I tried in Safari... I will try chrome... perhaps things were down the day I tried. Often chrome works if safari doesn't. Thanks Billy+

Amazing work!
Will come in handy since we can no longer see which devices are used in the patches. It used to be possible when browsing packs in Companion, to click on a patch-name and get a list of all devices used. Has this been changed?

What version of Safari are you using? I tried with Safari 17 and it was working. Also does the playback work for you on https://share.reasonstudios.com?

Glad you're enjoying it. As far as what is possible now in Companion now, I'm not actually sure. I made the site when I was a Reason+ subscriber, but I've let my subscription lapse as I own all the devices except for a few of the players, so it wasn't really worth it just for the sound packs. I might still subscribe again in the future though if there was a good sale. All the info on the site comes from the API from Reason Studio's share site, that's why it is able to be so detailed.

version 17.5... today they are working and yes they work on the reason studios site... must have been a glitch on the server that day, When I hit play> it would become a spinning ball for a long time. Eventually it said the audio could not be loaded... all good now though . Thanks.

I checked out some of the packs with this handy website and I have to say that I'm pretty impressed with what they're offering now. Some quality synths/samples/drums that I wouldn't mind using in new projects. If I had more time to produce I think I would get on R+
