Yo. Hi!
I just wanted to ask you a simple question: How many Reason + Sound Packs you have installed on your computer?
I have literally all of them. 372 packs that is at the moment. 14.5GB - not that much at all. Reason is that I have a quite big capacitive SSD and these packs are relatively small in MB sizes. So it is not costing me almost anything. And every pack that comes out I check. A lot of them I found inspiring. A lot of my music contains some parts of these packs. So I am grateful to Reason Studios that they are offering these packs.

Now that R+ has been out for nearly a year, I do wish they had some kind of bulk download option, or even selection via check boxes! If I had to start from scratch, I would not want to click over and over and over and over and over and over. Maybe someone out there has written a download script.

I'd love to have the option to search Packs by author: I installed all of Seàn Murray and Navi Retlav I could find by browsing. Not interested into the huge amount of hip-hop/trap stuff though.

I also wish they would implement that check box option in Reason Companion for downloading packs.WaxTrax wrote: ↑02 Feb 2022Installed: All

When I do a fresh install of Windows OS... before that I make a copy of Packs folder onto a D: partition - second SSD I have. - So I do not need to install all of these packs separately again and again and so on. But in case I would forgot to do that... then I would be screwed. Hehe.

Actually seems I was mistaken, my apologies. I could've swore it worked, but perhaps it was the names of the packs I was thinking of.
Surely they must be working on something like this. If you have been with Reason+ from the very start you have been able to download and audition each pack as it arrived but if you join in, say, 3 or 4 years you might be presented with upwards of 1000 packs all in one go. Lots of new customers will just want to download the whole lot in one go.
I installed 260 of them and I honestly don't use any of them now. Just downloaded them because of the free promotions that reason was offering on R+. I only signed up for the free R+ so I could get an extended look at reason 12 to see if it was worth upgrading from 11 suite, but alas I never did install 12 because of all the reported issues that others were having.
All R11 compatible packs installed from cheap subscription basically until R12 release which I tested for about two weeks before removing and reverting to R11 suite.
I will almost certainly be given plus another chance when R12/13 is worth trying again but not until I see something worth upgrading to in the standalone DAW until then I'm sticking with R11 RRP & Live 11 with an upgrade to Live suite if things don't start improving in the next few months (Silicon & vst3 & vst midi ) or I'm a Live customer

So why didn´t you simply install a parallel 12 version and check out for yourself. Besides minor hickups like sometimes a little longer device creation time, it´s working very well here.

I've installed 110+ of them but haven't used any of them - and the amount of new ones I install are becoming fewer. There's a limit to how many variations on 808 bass sounds that I want or need; there's also way too many trap packs for my liking. When my 3 month trial ends in 6 weeks time, the packs do not add any enticement value for me to continue subscribing. I've even avoided using any RE that I don't already own - the 3 month sub was a nice way to test 12, in particular Mimic, to see if it was worth the upgrade price.

yes. trap and hip-hop is so popular nowadays. i see this when buying/checking WAV sample packs. almost every second is related to that genres.

100% agree. I also have all of Sean Murray and Navi Retlav's packs installed. Great stuff!
There could be a lot of improvements to the search and download functionality of Companion. Hopefully that is coming sometime soon.
As for number of packs installed, I have no idea. Way too many, though... over a 1.5GBs. Time to start deleting some of them, I think. I started downloading all of the packs that were released during the beta test phase of Companion and many of the packs changed in name, content, etc from the really early versions, so I'll likely never delete those... kind of like collector items, in a way. But the fact that the rest of them are available for download anytime I want them, I might have to clear some HDD space and delete some packs pretty soon.
Sound like you/U.

Since the last post was Feb 2022 , and this tread seems to indicate that the sound packs at that time were not that great, and few seemed to be using them. I own a license to the current reason as a perpetual user. I have all the racks that come with reason +....Has the quality of the packs become any better? What is the current count of packs? It seems that as a perpetual licence owner, I can not find a list of the packs on the reason studios site, how many> and what they contain. Or> I just don't know where to look .
Perhaps someone has the Reason Studio's link to the archive of sound packs available currently

I've been wanting to ask about this: How are the Reason+ sound packs for Complex-1? Are new patches released frequently?
I've managed to grab 351 packs in 2022. lot of work lol

You can go to :-
https://share.reasonstudios.com/
and see what the current 6 are
packs started at 0001
https://share.reasonstudios.com/pack/0001/
and the latest is 1037
https://share.reasonstudios.com/pack/1037
I'm not sure but I think there are a few that are either missing or pulled but if you change the four numbers after pack/XXXX you can read the blurb and listen to the audio
