After upgrading from Reason 6 to reason 12, I'm amazed I can;t find an Audio editor in Reason.
I don't understand. Am I missing something? Is it buried in a sub-menu somewhere?

Hey, can you tell us which audio editor are you talking about?

Double click an audio clip in the sequencer, it should open the editor view.

I suspect you're asking about the sample editor and noticing that the Samples tab was removed from the Tool Window.
From Reason 8 onward, it was moved to "Song Samples" in the left side of the browser.

My memory is a little blurry, having been away from Reason for about 8 years.
I think it was in the right-click menu, where you could open the sample in a Audio Editor and tweak the sample.
Maybe it was in the tool window. maybe it was there after recording using the sampling input.
It was a dedicated screen for Audio editing, it was very basic, but it did the job.

I'm not interested in the Slice/Pitch/Comp options.

Sounds like the edit sample in devices like Kong and other samplers? A small window would pop up and you could do basic editing to the sample like start point etc?

That's still there, bruv. Depends on where you are (which device) is either a button, a pencil icon, it a right click menu. (Nnxt is right clocking on a sample, Kong is a button that reads edit on the non nano, i think mimic is a pencil...

I found it now.
I made a kong and hit the sampling input and made a sample. The sample appeared in the browser.
Right click/edit sample....and that's the screen I'm talking about. All good.
I just can't access this screen from the sequencer. I'll live with that.
Thanks for your help.

Kong has a button on the top right corner of the nnNano module that is called "edit" of you have any sample selected on said nnNano, that'll also open up the edit screen. I don't think you were ever able to open that window from the sequencer tough! Nneways, glad you found it! đź‘Ť
