WHAT’S NEW?

impOSCar3‘s oscillators have been augmented with fully editable 256-step wavetables, drawn as shapes or edited as partials.

We’ve added 450+ new factory Patches and our powerful browser to allow easy navigation through the vast array of included patches. Over 1800 in total.

Additionally, 4 new macros, a new reverb, an improved layout, a user-designable LFO editor, aftertouch control, undo & redo, a fully scalable UI, and more. Finally, we’ve simplified the operation of the instrument whilst keeping all its depths and compatibility with legacy impOSCar2 patches.

UPGRADES FROM IMPOSCAR2

No brainer - upgraded from v2, thats our wallet well and truly spanked now (we've recently invested in Eurorack units, going to be making some preset and sample packs real soon)

I’ve got the first Imposcar and it’s a brilliant sounding synth which for some reason I often forget to use.

Glad I purchased v2 for a sale price in Jan. this year.

I've been waiting for it to become Apple silicon native. :-)

Hey LABONERECORDINGS. Love your RE. Considering getting Reasonistas SideChain ReAction. You did bold graphics and coding on the devices, right?

Regarding impOSCar 3 .. well, the upgrade from 2 isn't excatly cheap, it's about EUR 42,00 (~ USD 46,00) here in Germany (incl. tax). But in the end .. guess I'm gonna get it. :puf_bigsmile:

Correct *holds up hands* we're responsible for the graphics & coding for SCRE (and CORE)

Upgrading Imposcar worth it, just seems like a new rejuvenated beast (what Imposcar 2 should have been with 3's features now).

What's the closest Synth we have as Rack Extension that can compare to OSCar3???

Europa? Expansion?

Have you bought a HW OSCar??? Or are you just thinkering some Sounds and patch modules for Reason???
In which case using a RE would come to fruition???

I have an HW OSCar at hand at a friend house, and the Vst.
Just thinking I might do some recordings in the next few days...

From what I have listended, the Vst is very much identical to the HW original for all sounds

Might have to pull the trigger on this one. ImpOSCar was the first (and one of the only) VST synths I ever bought. I did several banks of patches for it, which were on the GForce website. When V2 was in beta they sent it to me so I could update my patches for the new version features & I got a license for V2 when it launched. There's an upgrade path from previous versions so it should work out a real bargain for such a nice software synth  GForce are a great company as well. Dave Spiers is a top bloke.

Finally upgraded to impOSCar 3. Yep, it's a kickass update and the new sound banks are great. impOSCar is the "meat and potatoes" in my VSTi arsenal.
