Ok tnx. Yes np, device really interesting, and already squeeze out some mad things.mimidancer wrote: ↑09 Feb 2024that is it. but it is a great sampler with a fun and easy workflow. it is like chopping on an mpc IMO. but with better quality that you can ruin if you want. enjoy.
Mimic: New Creative Sampler
You can download all of those sound packs in a R+ trial month (and keep using them after the sub ended if you have bought the corresponding REs).
Yes, but already spent my R+ trial attempt once long ago.
Well, in any case 20 bucks also not a bad deal for that it seems.
Thanks, but there is no shortage of wav`s lol. Or this is with Mimic patches too ?
TBH I don't really see the point of using someone else's patches in Mimic other than as a learning exercise to see what Mimic can do. The whole point of an instrument like that is to use your own sounds or found sounds or something you've sampled from elsewhere.
Yes, i understand. And in most cases i doing from scratch too. Just it seemed to me that it's not exactly in PH style, doing so little patches for native device, so question from that. Actually as i said it's not critical.
Although, in the same time, can't not consider how random founded patch can inspire for some interesting idea, that pretty relevant with sampler type case. Considering enormous amount of waveforms too, when it would take a lifetime to explore them manually lol.
This all depends on what music you make, but the MPC expansions are exceptionally well curated for sampling and I find their sound packs a lot more amenable to creative sampling.
If anything, I just wanted to point out a good source of samples if you felt you needed something more ideal to feed into Mimic.
Ok sorry need clarify, do you mean samplepacks by ZamplerSounds vendor ? i googled (not something from Reason shop i mean).avasopht wrote: ↑11 Feb 2024This all depends on what music you make, but the MPC expansions are exceptionally well curated for sampling and I find their sound packs a lot more amenable to creative sampling.
