No hardware audio

Hello, I just installed the software.
Have no idea if this a hardware issue or operator headspace...lol
The software is producing audio according to the meters, but I hear either nothing or feedback, depending on the monitor setting.
My headphone jack is not working on this laptop, so could that be part of the issue?

i use a laptop mostly too but if it didn't have a headphone jack that would be awful
i'd for sure be looking for new hardware
