Hello,
The question is brief :
how to sidechain using a muted kick?
i.e. I want to sidechain a synth sound with a kick but don't want to hear the sound of the kick at the moment.

Take the output from the kick directly into the sc input

You can also use Pump RE, which is free now, and use a gate signal instead of a silent kick.

If the kick is the only thing on that Mix Channel, you can mute it and it will still send audio from the Parallel Out to a Sidechain Input.

If the kick is coming from Redrum, you can patch it directly into the Sidechain Input. When you do this, it is automatically removed from Redrum's main output.

If the kick is coming from Kong, route it to a separate output (it gets removed from the main output) and then patch that into the Sidechain Input.
