Offline authorization will be discontinued for R11 and earlier - This is serious
Logically yes. R13 should be a unescapable and mandatory fun update

Like "bernardh" and others, I have an offline, 'frozen' mac running rel: 12.5.3d5 and a clone of it's drive, just in case that part were to fail in the future (the only part I can clone to avoid future failure).bernardh wrote: ↑14 Jun 2023
If you want an Ignition key and don't have one, they're just a CmStick rebadged. You can buy from any of these suppliers and it will 'just work' exactly like it's an Ignition Key:
https://baseheadinc.com/product/codemet ... sb-dongle/
https://www.baslerweb.com/en/products/a ... -cmdongle/
https://www.frontendaudio.com/magix-usb ... er-dongle/
https://baseheadinc.com/product/codemet ... sb-dongle/
And I also have an ignition key with the Reason and RE licenses saved to use on other machines and also serves as a backup of my licenses.
The question is, is it possible to have two ignition keys on your account?
Currently, when I look at my account, I have one machine with its offline license and I have the ignition key with the other offline license, making two offline licenses.
Can I 'unauthorize' the machine then 'authorize' another ignition key, which means I still have the two offline licenses, but instead of one of these being locked to a machine which 'could' experience, say a motherboard fail in the future, I would have two ignition keys which theoretically should be more reliable?
Anyone have two ignition keys (perhaps a props key and a codemeter key) working together?
Any thoughts from those who are NOT going the subscription route

I think using two IKs does not work. What used to work was one IK and one Balance audio interface (which has an integrated IK). But authorizing the Balance has been removed from the site for a few years, now. There are some threads about this e.g.:

well lets hope that R13 actually irons out the bugs and is worth upgrading to

What bugs?
Still curious about what bugs Billy is talking about. No, they are not going to fix bugs in R11, those are already fixed in R12.
That's why to me it's OK to wait for R13.
Begone FOMO mind tricks! I'll be patient.

yes... understood. Reason 11 worked fine for me, as does 10. Reason 12 seems ok (NOW), other then the graphics issue some are reporting. I thought the picture was accurate for many apps I use though>>> including the reason 12 roll out. I am running the current 12.6.1 version on my main computer, and running 10 on my portable laptop, for jamming with others away from my home. I live in the country and getting an internet connection in places is indeed difficult here in rural Canada> believe it or not. The authorization timeout in September does affect me somewhat, since my main computer is not a portable laptop. I hope they change their minds on that decision, after the outcry of the many pages here in this thread, on that new issue.
I have not had the time to fully test for bugs in Reason 12> to be honest.

Are you saying there is a bug that is stopping you from making music in Reason? Jesus Christ Billy - Reason is currently in a far better state than Ableton Live is currently- I just had Live randomly crash on me for no apparent reason.
Win 10 | Ableton Live 11 Suite | Reason 12 | i7 3770k @ 3.5 Ghz | 16 GB RAM | RME Babyface Pro | Akai MPC Live 2 & Akai Force | Roland System 8, MX1, TB3 | Dreadbox Typhon | Korg Minilogue XD
I am not sure he is using R12 or has used since it was released...EnochLight wrote: ↑01 Jul 2023Are you saying there is a bug that is stopping you from making music in Reason? Reason12, Win10
I actually don't use Reason. Like, at all.. Just as a plugin in Live and it is rock solid. No crash whatsoever for however long I can remember. Might be system specific? I run Live+RRP on a MacBook Pro M1 and a Mac mini M2 Pro.EnochLight wrote: ↑01 Jul 2023Are you saying there is a bug that is stopping you from making music in Reason? This blurry fonts bug is keeping me from upgrading to Reason 12.
How anyone affected by this bug could look at this for hours is beyond me.
It makes you sick, doesn't it?

Can you point out where fonts are blurry? I run R12 at 140% zoom on hi-res screens (2K and 4K), but scaling down to 100% everything looks pretty sharp to me. Tiny, but definitely sharp.
The only difference I see immediately is that some residual graphics that don't scale correctly (like the hide/show section buttons in the SSL mixer) look fine at 100%
![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
Maybe it's system/OS specific, I'm on Win10.

I think i read somewhere that Reason 12 has these problems mainly with Nvidia graphics cards. I have one and maybe that's causing it? I don't know if that's true and unfortunately i can't remember where i read it. I'm probably writing nonsense right now.

I posted in that thread also, even on the page you are linking. Fonts in the browser are the same in different zoom levels here, and I'm running an Nvidia GeForce card.anDre wrote: ↑01 Jul 2023Yes, it's all in this thread... viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7531464&start=175

Looks like a configuration issue to me. Are the correct fonts installed? Windows has a strange way of using substitute fonts if the right ones are missing.

It's difficult to have a discussion if you don't read the posts carefully and/or mess up the posts. The other thread discusses two different fonts related issues and i suspect you mixed them up.crimsonwarlock wrote: ↑01 Jul 2023I posted in that thread also, even on the page you are linking. The screenshots in my post in the other thread not showing different zoom levels, there are showing R12 compared to R10. The other screenshots in this thread are not mine and don't show the issue i'm having, but the other fonts-related issue.
Reason 10 - no blurry fonts
Reason 11 - no blurry fonts
Reason 12 on 100% zoom - blurry fonts
Reason 12 on 200% zoom - no blurry fonts
I don't think this is a configuration issue or has to do with not correct installed fonts.
It's probably a bug.

Joey would be the first to tell you that every piece of software has bugs; I've seen him say that numerous times over the years. He's asking you to tell us about the specific bugs you are referring to. You like to make these wide sweeping and generic claims of bugs (which I doubt you really even experienced). But when you are pressed on the issue, you won't even attempt to back up these claims. I think you jumped on this popular bandwagon in the very early days of R12 and have failed to see that you are the only one left on that wagon. So please, Billy, explain to us w̶h̶y̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶ ̶b̶e̶l̶i̶e̶v̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶E̶a̶r̶t̶h̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶f̶l̶a̶t̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶w̶e̶ ̶n̶e̶v̶e̶r̶ ̶w̶e̶n̶t̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶m̶o̶o̶n̶ which bugs you are talking about.
Could you guys please keep this thread on topic. This thread is clearly about Billy and his dislike for Reason Studios. If you want to discuss the blurriness of Reason 12's fonts, please do so on the other thread... And take Billy with you.anDre wrote: ↑01 Jul 2023It's difficult to have a discussion if you don't read the posts carefully and/or mess up the posts. I have 11 suite still installed as well, won't be much longer here though.
However, here no blurry fonts in 11 suite, 12 zoom 100% or 12 zoom 140%.
Bugs tend to hit more than one user, so how many users have confirmed your problem?
I seriously don't want Billy to go where I go

I'd never really thought about these two blatantly obvious truths at the same time. I mean, if the earth is flat then the moon must also be flat, which means it is facing us. So trying to land there is never going to work, you'll just keep banging your head on it.
![Crazy ](./images/smilies/icon_crazy.gif)
Also, I'm not a big fan of R12 and I have not upgraded to it but I'm know that all the significant bugs have now been sorted and the important roadmap stuff is also done. It took them far too long and releasing it in that state was unforgivable but they are pretty much where they need to be in terms of bug squashing.
![Thumbup ](./images/smilies/icon_thumbup.gif)
Anyway, roll on R13, hopefully with something that lights my fire, baby.
