~ Winners Announced ~ Oenkenstein Audio Dice Analog Synthesizer Song Competition (lasts until May, 18, 2023)
Now the Dice Analog Synthesizer Effect Rack Extension has been released, Oenkenstein Audio in collaboration with Reasontalk wants you to get your creativity going with a challenge:
The Dice Analog Synthesizer song competition.
https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack ... nthesizer/
. .
Dice Analog Synthesizer is a polyphonic synthesizer with a web based randomize function.
It has 6 oscillators to generate sound without the use of samples and comes with a Sine, PWM (Pulse Width Modulation), Triangle, Sub, Noise and Saw oscillator.
To alter the sound generated by each oscillator, the synthesizer is provided with tuning, volume and panning knobs. It has an amplitude envelope section with AHDSR faders, a filter section, a Bode frequency shifter and an oscillator output routing section.
Dice Analog Synthesizer also contains 3 sections to change the tuning of the oscillators: Pitch Wheel control, Bend and Glide. A Low Frequency Oscillator (LFO) is used to modulate the filters cutoff and the glide time.
Dice Analog Synthesizer has 3 effects: Delay, reverb and chorus.
The back panel of the Dice Analog Synthesizer has audio outputs for each oscillator, a main stereo output, 53 CV inputs and 2 CV outputs.
Dice Analog Synthesizer comes with 148 instrument patches. Please notice that 25 combinator patches require Reason 12.
Dice Analog Synthesizer uses a web based form where the user can randomize patches, which can be loaded and altered in the Dice Analog Synthesizer.
The form: www.oenkenstein.nl/dicerandomize.asp
You can trail or buy Dice Analog Synthesizer at Reason studios shop:

Wish you all good luck and fun,

Good question. I'd better let Ed answer this one. Just curious what DAW you are using RRP with?

As an RRP user you also have access to the Reason DAW, so you're not out, technically.

The reply I've been waiting for
True, but in its current state, I just don't see me using Reasons sequencer.
However, if that's how the competition works, I'm fine
The question is - Who cares

Great to see a new song challenge.
I'll give it a spin and see if a song happens.

Indeed, RRP users can participate the song competition. Please note that we might ask you to send screen shots as evidence when there is doubt at the at the time of judging.Electric-Metal wrote: ↑20 Apr 2023The reply I've been waiting for

Now let's see if I finally get some s*** DONE.

Well looks like i am first to drop a track for the competition.
used a lot of the presets and tweaked them to taste. minimal melodic techno and this synth certainly contains a lot of patches that fit my style of music.
Presets used:
Bass: Contra bass patch
Arp 1:The lil strum pluck
Arp 2: The Toy piano pluck
Main lead: Sweetheart
Bright stab lead: Random017
Pad 1: Starmachine
Pad2:Tweety vs Tom
Pluck perc: Metal sticks (used for two sounds but tweaked differently)
Fx: Brassdude (i will be using this patch a lot )

Here is my contribution to the challenge.
The luck of the Dice! is a Dance/EDM song in a 90s style.
It's an original song.
All sounds are created with DICE.
Except the preset: Pluck - "My Friend - LQ"
The vocals come from a royalty-free "Diginoiz Vocal bundle".
Good listening!

I'm gonna skip this challenge unfortunately. I played around briefly with the synth, but noticed that the timing wasn't right for me. As you know I just released my mini album and I need a creative break before I throw myself into the world of "Objekt".
Here is my contribution to the DICE contest. From my first attempt with the new Syntheziser a small EDM track with a remarkable hookline was created.
I used only the default sounds of Dice and modified them slightly at best. I added a KONG track and a drum loop from SOUNDCLOUD. SOUNDCLOUD also provided the vocal part. I loaded the sample into MIMIC.
I made a lot of use of MATRIX to create the arpeggios.
The image was calculated by the AI MIDJOURNEY.
I hope you enjoy listening to it!

Hello (⌒ω⌒)ノ Here is my entry for the DICE competition! It's a Fusion/Jazztronica track with some tempo changes. All melodic and harmonic elements come from the DICE synthesizer. Other than that there is a RDK for the drums, a few risers and FX, a vocal sample and some effects (mainly filters, chorus and distortion). 11 instances of DICE were used in total, mainly slightly tweaked presets and 2 randomized presets, because I suck at sound design.
I hope you'll enjoy the track, have a nice day!

Hello!
Here is my participation to the Oenkestein Audio Dice! I guess it's some type of House music...
The only patch used from the presets was "Bass - Bass.repatch" the rest of the patches were randomized with a custom tool (will provide the refill later!)
There are a total of 11 randomized patches for chords, leads, and background effects.
Thank you!
