I'm looking at https://reasonstudios.com/shop/product/ ... 2-upgrade/
and the NN-XT is listed as being "NN-XT Advanced Aampler"

What's an Aampler? A new kind of instrument?!?

If you say so....I've been using the pheads' NN-XT Sampler for many, many years

but the RS folks seem to be calling it an "Aampler"....you sure they haven't expanded functyionality to the old sampler ;-P

And that's an excuse for not proof reading?

Proofreading won't solve this, as people tend to have blind spots for these kinds of errors. As the A and S keys are side by side, this is an understandable typo. Rather common as well, as you can find this typo all over the web (I did a Google search). However, it is stranger that some basic spelling checker didn't flag this. It is definitely not an existing word in the English language, so it seems that they don't use spelling checkers at RS :o

By the way, did you proofread your own message? Proofreading is written as one word :puf_wink:

It's an amusing typo but why haven't they corrected it yet? We know they read this forum.

English isn't my first language so I get by with my caveman grammar. :P

Yeah, there should be Aample Reason for it.

It's a forum post!
We can make all kinda mistakes if'n we wants tuh
longs we dudn't break duh rules, man

A forum post is typically not the product description of software for sale!

If that was my software for sale, I'd make sure that stuff was right

assuming someone has made a mistake is exactly that
RS could have EASILY made up a new device and called it an Aampler

NN-19 is Aample.
NN-XT is Aampler.
Players are to MIDI what synthesizers are to waveforms.
