What have you been listening to?
Just zapped into a ("into the") scene of "Small Axe - Lovers Rock" a few nights ago and they played this while they were dancing extatic. Song is dope.

Hammered this one back in the day, thank god it is online as the cd was lost and borrowed between friends many times until it disappeared. Interesting that for a published cd it has some dj mixing mistakes in it but there are some timeless moments / mixes in here, one of my all time favs. Rainbow high in the sky, The beat is flown, ugh! Crank it! <3
Can't contain myself when the groove comes in like a freight train at 1:23. I have to listen to it at least once a week

I just had another listen to Chibi-Tech live @ Blip Festival Tokyo 2012
I just love the energy and the raw 8 bit sounds of her live set in combination with the enthusiastic audience..
EDIT: Video link:

I honestly don't know if I love this or if it makes me want to run screaming from thd room which is always a very good sign. But good God the amount of labor involved!

Sometimes you just want to bliss out to a thick slab of primitive redlining punk that sounds like it was recorded on a dictaphone. I love this stuff
This is excellent. Knew i d like it just from the cover art. Do you know the Dunedin artist Matt Middleton? You might like

Or
Also I've been listening to a lot of lofi techno recently, in particular I've been playing a lot of muslimgauze. Also John Bender and selected ambient works 1, and I just discovered this cool Japanese woman who made this album in like I think 1981?

Really nice, huh! Its just been re released on vinyl apparently. If you like that check John Benders stuff out as well if you haven't heard him, quite cool cold wave, a bit like an even more minimal version of the Normal.dvdrtldg wrote: ↑17 Apr 2023Holy shit, that's great!
