Superbooth 2023
In May the next Superbooth fair for synthesizers and electronics will take place in Berlin/Germany.

And hell freezes over: while in the past two years Reason Studios didn’t attend (iirc I visited them at their booth last time in 2019?), they are now on the exhibitor list for 2023.
Can‘t wait to see what they are about to show us. Maybe some hybrid fun stuff with Eurorack?

Is that Reason's new tag line?

Interesting that RS chose to lead their thumbnail description with the standalone DAW followed by rack extensions. I may be reading too much into this but chances are that positioning was carefully considered.

1. I left Reason as a DAW in Spring 2019 after losing my confidence after visiting their booth at Superbooth 2019. Shortly after, I switched to Presonus Studio One.
2: Over the past few years, my Eurorack system has grown considerably and hybrid use with computer is just more fun with Reason. I now have all the RE's for Modular (Robotic Beans, Expert Sleepers), and thus rediscovered Reason a bit.
Maybe they are showing more interaction with hardware - Superbooth is after all the world fair for modular synthesizers.
Is it paranoia that shortly after someone postet it here, they edited the entry?

Great to see RS back on the exhibitor list for Superbooth. No doubt they'll be showing off the new synth coming in May
Oh no, does that mean they're going to discontinue RRP? </sarcasm>

I'm all but done sitting tweaking the tiny controls on REs. The high res update came too late for these old eyes. That's why I got into eurorack, and from the start I've kept interfacing with my computer a must for my rack. I have combis with external midi ports ready and players stacked that I drop in and explore with. I personally think the Westlicht Performer is the best for this -- I've built 2 -- because you have 8 cv/gate pairs outputting, and you can be quite flexible with the internal routing.madmacman wrote: ↑07 Mar 2023

I'm also working on a DIY open source usb/midi interface that you can drop in your case and run off 5v. (Adapting the bluepill arduino board version of the USBMidiKliK4x4 project.) All so i can have a simpler access to the things in my case that use midi. And a lot of those have midi headers in the back I can plug into, thus the design of a small board I can set inside the case, and then route to some jacks on a panel if I want. I have two disting exes, for example, and am running TRS midi for them from some stereo jacks stuck into a panel. This will eliminate the need for a panel unless I want.
Aw crap I'm running on. The point is I'm so invested in combining my rack and my daw that I'm designing a circuit board to embedd midi at the case level.
I hope Reason Studios gives out eurorack patch cables like they did a few years ago.
Also I wish I could see the Pittsburgh Modular booth, play with a Taiga.
If you ain't hip to the rare Housequake, shut up already.
Damn.
Damn.

Sweet. Will it find its way to the Reason shop? It’s time for new Merch I’d definitely like an Objekt T for one
Ooooh yyeeeaaaAHH!. Thank you for letting us know, Mattias. So, I presume that includes Objekt merch.. Anything will do though as it would be nice to see and possibly buy in the future.
