been listening to this song on loop for the last 4 hours
editing movie scenes about a friend of mine
who is telling me stories about his !$%^%$#!#$ up life

this song is when he was a boy
watching his mom get beat up by the step dad
his younger sister was in the car, too

the song is very cool
the video is trippy
happy fourth of july

the concert video is a better introduction to the band than the 1st video for me

london grammar (a favorite band of mine) only has 3 people
and the drummer guy also uses loops in their music
but i first saw them in a concert video
so i could clearly see that the guy was using a looper / sequencer

then the rest of their videos didn't bother me

i love the music of 'klangphonics'
gonna do some research

my oma and opa lived across the street from
san souci park in potsdam, germany

their house was taken over by the german police after the war

they were kicked out for 30 years or so

there was a concrete table in the backyard the soldiers used as a ping pong table

while visiting in 1996 to see oma
she took me down to the basement
she let me take home a german winter hat as a souvenir

as a teen aged girl, she got captured by the russians one day
coming back through the sans souci park
after helping the german doctors patch up their guys in the hospital
she would boil / sterilize bloody linens for the doctors

crazy funny lady
her house was amazing

the soldiers had ripped up the bathroom to install like male urinals
and boarded up all the windows of the entire 4 story house
like a police station
they turned the house into a communications center

when oma got the house back after 'the wall' came down
she had a lot of fixing to do
she did keep the ping pong table, though
shitloads of phone wire to be removed

she was away at russian camp for a few years
i don't know the exact time length
she never talked about it except to my step dad
i never ask

its interesting that a lot of people hate germans because of hitler and the war
my oma was non political and just trying to help out her people

i walked through the park with oma each day
she sent me on a journey with her sister, tante inga
who didn't speak a lick of english
she and i walked through the park to a little restaurant to get lunch

we had the best time with body language
we both knew we couldn't talk to each other
but the time spent together is wonderful

tante inga stayed in east berlin until the wall came down

i played soccer with a bunch of guys right next to the wall
the cool thing is the players were from all around the world

there was also a big swing set like 20 feet from the wall
if you swing high enough you can see into 'east berlin'
