Orbhits sound module with samples from Emu's Orbit 9090

a basic Rompler with quite limited features (monophonic, no filters, no drums etc), but fun to play around with those classic samples anyway

There was also combinator released with sounds from the Orbit:

haven't tried it though, still own the hardware. But this sparked the idea of doing a compare!

thanks for the info looks useful. GHS05 certainly looks more comprehensive. For effects, Orbhits just has a basic reverb and an autopan

It is also entirely monophonic as far as cutting off the release tail if a new note is played
(any chords are samples, not sure what the original Orbit was)

The hardware sure has chords, but it's polyphonic so you can also just make your own of the sounds. The best thing about the hardware is the filter, imo, and to map all the drums. The drum samples have a sound to them which just works really well. At least for me and my music.

Orbhits is quick and fun, instant Detroit Techno vibes. I'm a sucker for all those E-Mu sounds.
