Tracktion has a sale right now, including Biotek 2 for $24 at JRR Shop (definitely tempting). They also sell a synth called Abyss, I think it's made by a third party developer (Dawesome). It's good for cinematic, ambient sounds, and has an unusual UI. It's super easy to come up with new, complex sounds.

Anyone here using it? It's only VST3, so I'm not expecting a lot of Reason users to say yes, but I'm curious if anyone has comments about it. It's on for a good price at JRR Shop.

Well I have Dawesome Novum and it is an excellent plug-in. Very good graphics, very good sound.
I don't know Abyss but I know the developer is really very good.
If you are looking for these kind of sounds, you can try also Parallels from softube, it is in sales at 49usd now.

And to make your life even more complex :-). Novum is also on sale at 107usd if I am not wrong.
Novum has a very modern Granular + Spectral architecture. I wouldn't say it is better than Grain but it is very interresting and and goes in a totally different direction. It is a really fun synth to play with...

Wanted to try Novum yesterday, downloaded then realized it is only VST3, deleted it. Now remembered, perhaps Ableton supports VST3? Too lazy to download again that synth, already have all that I need. Also, not a huge fan of weird interfaces.

I think it is an excellent buy, in particular at this price. The king of sound you can create is wild.
Have fun!
