As some of you may know, lately I've been trying to revisit many of my older synths rather than constantly looking at new toys. This time Oberon managed to draw me in, resulting in 40 Oberon patches. As usual, no combinator patches. Categories: Bass, Melody, Pads, Random.

Here's a short demo of some of the patches included. I put some reverb on some of them. Pretty much no one is going to use the pads and leads completely dry in a real world mix anyway.

Feel free to check them out.
EDIT: These are Oberon 2 patches. So if you're on the first version they won't work.

Was hoping for a demo track :puf_bigsmile: But instant download for obvious reasons anyway

Ha, I saw that coming

Nice patches again, especially the pads (disclaimer: I'm a pad-addict).

No problem. Since I spent the time creating all these patches, I might as well share them. They are made to be used after all.

Thanks for sharing. Downloading now. Hopefully they work on the older version of Oberon. I don't have the paid update.
EDIT: These don't seem to be working for the older (non-updated) version.

I completely forgot about there being a version 2 update to Oberon. I bought Oberon pretty late so I never paid extra for that update.

How much is the update?

It's $9 or $15, can't remember. I don't ever seem to use Oberon so I can't justify the update, but I know I should use it more, as it is quite good and underrated.

That's not too bad. Yeah that's why I do all these synth revisits. I own all these synths that I've gathered over the years, yet I feel like I don't know them nearly enough as I should/want. I feel like they deserve more of my time and attention than I previously have given them. Just scrolling through included patches (like I mostly did before) doesn't really do a synth justice.
Oberon is pretty cool. It might not be a particularly good all round synth, but I think it offers some unique/exotic tones that I haven't heard from any other synth. If you have any interest in diving into it a bit deeper at some point I would probably get the update.

Ok, I need to say it a new time but these patches are very cool. Just spent a couple having fun on them.

Thanks again mate.

What would be your next revisit ?

Glad you enjoy them.
Not sure. I've started dabbling in a couple of synths actually. Snakebite, Expanse, Algoritm, JPS Harmonic synth, Friktion, FM4. As I can't decide, it's more a matter of playing around with them simultaneously. And all of a sudden a synth will just grab me and keep me there for whatever reason. And that will be the one. At least that's how it's been to a large extent before. I sense a slight urge to delve into Snakebite. But I'm not sure yet. Oberon was kind of a bigger (more optiony) synth, so it might be nice to go with a smaller, more niche oriented synth next. FM4 is also an option.

FM4... Hehe.
I don't have it but I know its reputation...
For FM I have a sweet spot for zero hybrid synth

Yeah Zero needs to be revisited at some point too. But I'm absolutely not ready for that one yet. I'm genuinly scared of that thing. That's why it's not even on the list of potential synths to revisit yet. I tried to make something with it years ago and gave up immediately. Hopefully once I get to it I'll have more synth knowledge overall than I did last time.
So far Zero has strictly been a preset machine for me.

I have the same feeling... Fortunately presets are excellent...

Do you mean Expanse and Snakebite? I'm just guessing since I already did patches for Megasaur.
