I hope everyone has been well...

Sorry I haven't been around I've been trying to keep my head down finishing music. I've been releasing a new single every 4 weeks and the most recent is called "Lonelier" - sort of Morrissey style melancholia w/ a big joyful chorus. I'm pretty psyched on how v2 kicks in, I found a great bass player on Fiverr. Originally tracked in Reason.

Enjoy, streaming everywhere.

“Lonelier”

Are you ready for my humbling politeness?
I like to think that it’s genuine
ten summer days just crept away
There’s time to cry, time to never know why
Well, I can’t wait forever
Or forever and a day
Cause I can’t wait for never
To never come again and
I can’t look ‘cause I can see no reason in
your eyes, your eyes

CHORUS
Time will pass away
Leaving us
Lonelier than we were
Yesterday

Are you waiting for the moment to be unkind?
I’d like to say that now is opportune
When I was young, I was new
May be a bit misguided
but I’d have seen through you…you too?
I don’t claim to understand your coy demands
I don’t particularly care what you do when I’m not there
Do you still have faith in me
despite my smug complacency
‘Don’t you wish I did,’ you said
Well I do

CHORUS

What’s the over-under on
we overstay our time
I miss all the signs
Will we maybe make it through
To the happy other side
And look around to find
We’ve wasted our time?

CHORUS

Really nice song. The vocals reminded me of Ben Folds. Keep up the great work :)

This song is pretty great.

The lead vocal is certainly discernible, but I want "more" of it somehow, esp. during the chorus and bridge.

(I'm being deliberately vague about what "more" might mean.)

Hmmm so I assume you don't mean volume, yeah the mix is a little cluttered...

I'm definitely not ruling out volume. I just didn't want to seem like I was trying to micromanage. Saturation? Width? Leveling? Reverb? Or maybe it's perfect and the problem is entirely between my ears!

I don't think I would go that far.
