Anyone using the Captain epic plugins with succes in Reason (11)?

I just missed the sale on the Reason Chord Sequencer. Was looking around for some plugins that could do a trick like that.

I came across the captain epic plugin bundle for € 79,= at this moment.

For what I understand it does not work within Reason, but I could use the Reason Rack in Ableton Live Suite 10 that I own, together with Captain Plugs.

It would be better if it worked in Reason, who chimes in to help me out?

Thanx in advance!
Greetings from Miyaru.

I haven't tried them but be aware that they need an internet connection to work (not just a one -off authorisation).

Thanx for that, it is a thing to consider, although I have a decent internet connection at home……

Yeah, I hear you. I also have a good connection but I don't want to be at the mercy of that connection or relying on their server being up 100% of the time or, in the extreme case, of their company staying in business! I think the plugins actually do some of the processing in the cloud so it's not just the usual licence check thing.

It's a shame because their plugins would normally be right up my street but those connection requirements turned me off. YMMV

Actually, the Captain modules work within Reason 11 and 12, as they can produce sound on their own. You can set up several models like Chords, Deep, Melody, Beat following the chords defined in the Captain Chords module. If you are happy with the results, you can drag the midi data out of each VST plugin window into a new instrument lane and assign a different instrument to it.
