Post a pic of your studio!
Ah, gotcha. It says they’re based in Milwaukee now. That’s about 75 miles away.

Awww man - that sucks. Why can't you mix anymore? What happened?
Win 10 | Ableton Live 11 Suite | Reason 12 | i7 3770k @ 3.5 Ghz | 16 GB RAM | RME Babyface Pro | Akai MPC Live 2 & Akai Force | Roland System 8, MX1, TB3 | Dreadbox Typhon | Korg Minilogue XD
profound hearing loss I can't hear anything above 2000 Hz
I have lowpass filter automated in this clip but I do not hear a difference at all
I have hearing aids but everything above 2000 is gone in my right ear so can't boost whats not there. in my left ear it's barely there. I can still make some music just need someone else to mix it.

New screens setup. I used to have the two smaller screens side by side, but now using one in portrait-mode specifically for the rack. Hitting the 'rack' button on a mixer channel instantly moves the related rack in view. What other DAW can give you a tracking and mixing environment like this

Some nice setups. Wish I could snag another one of these table tops (solid, cheap w/ plenty space). Little linseed oil and G2G. IKEA GERTON 61x29 1/2" beech wood tabletop. No such thing as too much RGB.

Love these. You guys have so much more space than I have available (will post pic soon, short version is at the moment I’m in a 70cm x 60cm box essentially so I can only dream when I see a full Hammond etc in some of these shots). Monitors in portrait format dedicated to Reason rack looks great… like that a lot. I’m using an ultra widescreen monitor for everything at the mo (which is fab for sequencer and for 3 x racks side by side) but having option for single tall rack as well would be ideal.

I already had the three screen setup before switching to Reason, with the two smaller monitors side by side below the big screen. Earlier this year I started using Touch Portal software on a tablet for controlling Reason and that moved me to working mainly on the big screen and switching between the views through Touch Portal. In this setup, the smaller monitors were not that useful, so I decided to move some stuff around and discovered they could pivot to portrait-mode. I do use several racks side by side, which also worked great on the big screen, but with the portrait monitor showing one rack at the time, it moves the relevant one into view, which gives a much more focussed workflow.MuttReason wrote: ↑10 Nov 2022Monitors in portrait format dedicated to Reason rack looks great… like that a lot. Here's a picture of the previous setup (I posted this one a while a go here), and you can see the rest of the studio

Oh my word but is that a great setup. That super large monitor you have on the wall is pretty much the same size as the floor area of my entire studio space (basically chair, tiny desk the width of an ultra wide monitor, that’s it).crimsonwarlock wrote: ↑11 Nov 2022

Thanks for the compliment
I started out in small rooms as well. It took me four decades to get to this. I have a really nice studio now, but unfortunately, it is located in my company's building (where I had this room spare) which is about an hour drive from my home. So now I spend most of the time that I have available for music at home, with a portable setup in a tiny room with just space for a desk and a chairMuttReason wrote: ↑11 Nov 2022That super large monitor you have on the wall is pretty much the same size as the floor area of my entire studio space (basically chair, tiny desk the width of an ultra wide monitor, that’s it).
But to be honest, I spend at least one evening per week in my studio, so there's that

Thanks! I was a bit contemplative about setting the two up at first (RE: giving up the refresh rate). Turns out there's an odd visual phenomenon after reverting to flat panel again, hah. Everything looked like it was bubbling out / convex. Thought I was going crazy, but I guess our brains get wired a certain way when they perceive these UWHD's for a long time (in my case, years). After the first week the effect cleared up naturally. Reason is creative art with multiple monitor setups.EnochLight wrote: ↑11 Nov 2022Wow - I absolutely love the curved ultra-wide in vertical for the mixer - classy!!!PropitiousME wrote: ↑10 Nov 2022Some nice setups. What a wonderful little 'nook' full of knobs and faders to tweak! Jealous of those Apollo's, but I don't have the gear to warrant the purchase. I especially like the blue backing and the invaluable sky light. Keeps the mood cheery at the right time of day. Desk just needs a cup of hot coffee! In my case, being in a finished basement I guess I substitute with adjustable Govee Smart LED's and Vitamin D?selig wrote: ↑11 Nov 2022Here's an update to my studio:
