I haven't got a computer that can run R12 just now but at this price it makes sense just to have it there for when I do. Hopefully this will give their coffers a filling. I'd say they are struggling but who isn't right now, they've chosen to shake the business model just in time for a looming world recession. I'm happy to support them and would've had no trouble upgrading at the original price if my CPU was newer, can always have R11 or10 Installed still in case of issues.

I got to test out the LISA. I’m back and forth with the knife soma and really only want to get the plug-in to determine if I like the workflow enough to buy the hardware later on. Those are the only two that’s currently on my watch list from PA. I’ve bought the other staples on mad discounts.moofi wrote: ↑19 Jun 2022Yeah well, the maths is pretty simply in this case. Everything that´s above 31$ you can buy via 29 forever everything below you can buy like it is or wait for a sale
The new plugins I went for are Shadow Hills Class A Compressor, LISA, AMEK 200 EQ and Sculpt that would have usually sum up to 1426$. Like said, for 124$. (Not discussing wether they are worth the original price). From what I have experienced so far through testing and watching videos, they are of very good quality, a joy to work with, even though the UI of especially LISA can be a bit overwhelming
I truely like the addition of additional Brainworx features to the devices (not Sculpt) like TMT (Tolerance Modeling Technology), Auto Listen, Stereowidth, Headroom, etc.
It´s been the first time I "significantly" bought into VST. So I wouldn´t have that many comparisons besides some free VST plugins from like Analog Obsession, Valhalla, Airwindows and some free Synth along additional free stuff from PA. Btw there is the Free Bundle at PA with some good sounding stuff in it

Anyway, I feel like I got a pretty pleasant package for a pleasant price and can recommend anyone checking PA´s 29 forever and the mentioned devices out
Actually the first time significantly buying into VST. The mentioned devices come in very handy for given purpose andKalm wrote: ↑19 Jun 2022
I have a friend who takes advantage of that offer and I don’t? Idk I never actually cared to sit down and do the math lmao I just buy them when I think it’s a low enough price. I guess since the incentive to buy plugins at high value with low cost is there with a proven track record, people like buying into the culture more than the plugins… idk I’m just talking here
It took forever for the Lindell 50 to come into the price range I was looking to buy it at

Yes, like said, everything for 31$ maximum with 29forever now.
Then I just watched a video about the KNIF, looks like a pleasant device.
Regarding workflow, I discovered this video showing George Massenburg "tuning" the GML 8200, the hardware version of the AMEK 200 EQ plugin to a piano recording.
Quite fascinating seeing him at work, not only tuning by sweeping through boosted frequencies to narrow down resonances but aswell by sweeping through dipped frequencies to find the according frequency spots he at first simply analysed by listening to the recording beforehand.

But once (among my peers, mostly deceased) I was held somewhere between respect and disgust.

Who you calling a kid? I don't think we have many users under the age of 45 do we? I would bet the vast majority of our user base remember the sound of the AOL guy's voice "You've got mail", dial up modems, landlines, payphones, AM talk radio, VHS, etc.
