With the new M1 mac, many ppl, me included, got their first Mac.
I am experiencing some issues on the Mac, that are not present with the Win version.
It would be helpful to have a Mac only section.

What issues are you encountering ? I run on windows and M1 (my portable solution) and have a pretty similar experience.

This is not a Mac Forum IMO. you can post in the Kitchen, other Hardware or ask Reason or RE questions.

What exactly do you want to ask in such a sub forum?

Idk, many forums has a Mac only or Linux section, just bc I guess it looks more ordered?
Different issue aside, I would start it with some M1 benchmarks for example.
Just to keeps things tidy. It might be an overshoot as there are not really all those Mac users anyway.
I came across some funky issues on the Mac that are not present on Win 10 (Line mixer Pan)
Then I can't seem to make nor Garage Band nor Logic to work with Reason as a Plug in, both R11 and R12...
So I guess a mac/other than Win Os/ only section could make sense..?

Mac Os also need different drivers, Big Sur does not work with Monterey, Now Ventura...
To keep track of all these changes and possibly conditions it'd be a good advice to start it up
for future ref.

I am a 100% Win user. I really don't mind reading about Reason used on Macs.

This is actually a great idea, especially considering all the issues RS is fixing for M1. It would be a focused place we could go to share our concerns, workarounds, and solutions.

I've been a mac user for over 20 years. I started with Reason 1 on my first mac, a G4 Cube. I'm a huge fan of both Reason and mac, yet I don't see the need for a mac only section.

I am opposed to the idea of segregating the forum into Windows and Mac sections. This forum is generally about Reason DAW/RRP and it runs on both platforms. The need does arise to troubleshoot a certain problem on a specific OS, and in that case you could just put the OS name in the subject line, ie: Reason Crashes When Bla Bla Bla.. please help! [MAC OS]
Players are to MIDI what synthesizers are to waveforms.

Instead of a dedicated Mac forum we could have a special forum where people could go to endlessly bicker about PC vs Mac and Ryzen vs Intel vs M1 etc.

It's all about moaning about the lack of native M1 support. That's my comfy chair right now.

Well if you had an M1 computer you would be moaning too after years of bugs that still aren’t fixed and no real concern or action coming from your beloved DAW company.

Do you have you an m1? I got one since 1 year+ and didn't encounter a single bug. I have all reason synths, players, effects and maybe 60 other RE, what bugs are you talking about?
I also use it as an rrp since 6 months without issue...

I haven’t seen a problem yet with my M1.
