So it's getting closer to the annual May Madness session that used to be a great time to pick up some new devices from the shop - but the last few seasonal sales have been missing one vital vendor (Reason Studios)

has anyone got any clue if we are going to see them back on sale or are we stuck with %50 discount for R12+ annual subscription only?
R+ means no more RS REs sales to me. I just hope I’m wrong !

Well so far RS have been bundling BGL with Algorithm or Friktion for a reasonable discount 99 for both, but I haven't seen BLG and BVX bundle yet and the bundles seem to disappear very quickly - maybe we might see that style of sale but I would prefer to see the devices discounted separate.

As for R+ being the only promoted discount I can honestly say with the current state no amount of discount is going to entice me, I tried it through the transition from R11 to R12 and gave up using it and instead rolled back to R11 and will continue with R11 until the roadmap is complete before considering the upgrade again.

How can a full version be €129,- while the upgrade is still €199,-?

I saw this also with other companies, like V-Collection upgrade for 250 and bundle for 199...

That’s why it’s called may madness, it doesn’t have to make sense.

It's an excellent deal, if they offer the R12 upgrade with £390 off I might have to get it

A good sale on Recycle would be true madness, I’d take it at 75% off.

I'm not sure why you would want recycle anymore given reasons ability to create Rex files?

I have 11 suite. If I buy this Reason 12 offer, will my suite devices work with it or will I have to buy the upgrade to get the suite devices?

Everything will just work.

As long as you register it to the same account it will just work. You'd also be free to sell your R11 Suite licence, although that would mean you lose the REs that came with Suite.

Is anyone else wondering whether this price is a bug/glitch/cockup?

I'm wondering if us long term owners are going to see any deals on the actual upgrade...

Well either it was the shortest sale in history or someone fu*ked up as it's now been removed - did anyone manage to grab a copy?

Too late. I'll just have to hope for a sweet deal on 1 year of Reason +.

Maybe they was supposed to be offering R12 upgrades for £109 - not sure if I would pay that much at the moment.

It seemed legit to me, as all the marketing graphics were there as well, with that discount showing. Maybe it wasn't supposed to be active already, as that would basically launch the may-madness sale right now, which would seem early tmo. We will see in another week or so, perhaps with a discounted upgrade as well.

Maybe as normally it's not until the last two weeks in may if I recall correctly and if that's going to be the discount on a full license then maybe there's hope for similar offers on the upgrade and products from RS.

Would definitely be curious if anyone actually managed to purchase R12 with a £390 discount though.
That's nearly %80 off :o I might consider buying the upgrade for £50 even if I don't install it till the roadmap is complete.

Had I seen this sooner I might have been tempted to pull the trigger on 12 and hold off on installing until it's worth using. Even VST3 support would give me the green light to install.

Hopefully we see the same pricing once May Madness begins. If not, I'll continue diving into Bandlab as an alternative. Trialing other DAWs has been an interesting journey. It really helps me understand the endless comments about feature requests and lack of features within Reason that pop up on this forum.

Must admit I am the same and although £109 is tempting I still struggle to see the value for me personally even if I did like mimic and the combi 2. Think I am happy to wait till unlucky r13 unless they offer r12 at a truly ridiculous cheap price further down the line.
