So in my attempt to revisist old synths rather than look at new toys I've made some new patches. This time for Parsec (2).
Most of these patches are pretty simple and to the point, which is how I usually prefer them myself.
There are 46 patches with four different categories: Bass, Melody, Pads and Random.
No combinator patches. All the effects come from Parsec. And if one wants to adjust or remove any effects (stereo width, reverb, delay) then it's very easy to do so.
If anyone wants to check them out, feel free to do so.
Here's a demo of some of the included sounds.

Thanks Loque. Creating my own patches is a new thing for me, so that's nice to hear.

Yes Parsec is a cool synth. Glad I spent some time with it. It's quite versatile. It can make both digital/modern sounds and also quite organic sounds imo.

No problem. Might as well share it in case someone finds value in it.
Good job.
I struggled to create patches with Parsec.
I could get good bass, but I was never satisfied with what I had. It always felt like I could have just used Thor or something.
With Europa, I felt like I was making much better use of its capabilities.
But it still does interest me.

Got a chance to go through all the patches and these sound great! I haven't used Parsec that much, I have a feeling with your patches that just might change. Nice work!

For some reason I've never clicked with Thor. Maybe it's the way it looks. I think it looks like a mess. But I also can't help but think it's "ok" at a lot of things. But not really great at anything. Like it doesn't have a particularly strong identity/character. Could also be that I simply haven't explored it enough and I don't have a clue what I'm talking about.avasopht wrote: ↑08 May 2022Good job.

I like Europa. Easy to work with and make interesting sounds with.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I'm still new to this patch making thing so it's nice to hear your encouraging words. Some of my patches are ridiculously simple on a technical level. But hopefully they sound alright despite that.
I will probably continue to alternate between focusing on writing songs and making patches. I have some thoughts on diving deeper into either Algoritm or Expanse next, or both simultaneously. But it would also be interesting to explore some of the weirder ones like Vibro.

Thanks for sharing these. Just downloaded them. I haven't tried them yet, but judging by the comments, I'm sure they are great.
To jump from Parsec to Parsec 2 it is 38 monetary units which is kind of ridiculous, they have never had any offers for owners of the original and it seems to set in stone...just one of those weird props things they do now and again

Yes RS do some weird things sometimes. I bought Parsec 1 when it was pretty cheap at some point. The upgrade was €29 for me at the time. All in all I think it was worth what I paid.
I do quite like Parsec. It's fun to work with. Some synths workflow just makes sense to me. Parsec is one of them.
But ultimately it's gonna be different for everyone what's worth paying for any specific music gear.

Thanks for the great patches.
Looking forward to what you come up with. Both Expanse and Algoritm are deep synths, haven't had the time yet to dive into both myself. I got Vibro (on sale) because it has a bit of PPG Wave vibe to it, so bring it onTritoneAddiction wrote: ↑09 May 2022I have some thoughts on diving deeper into either Algoritm or Expanse next, or both simultaneously. Yes, for me I got Parsec when it came out and loved it (still do) and was excited to see an update but was deflated when I saw what I had to pay for what was added to it. I hoped for ages there would be some kind of offer or deal for owners of the original but nope, heels were dug in by props (RS) and the rest is history. Still can't understand their logic behind the choice but heyTritoneAddiction wrote: ↑10 May 2022
