I was just making a comment on the weird disconnect between price and value in music production software. Look at something like Waves C6 Multiband compressor, currently "on sale" for $29 with a listed "full price" of $299. Is it a $299 plugin that's currently a super bargain, or is it a $29 plugin with a ridiculously inflated RRP? What makes it "worth" either price?
BTW the Shadow Hills comp is incredibly good, so is the Focusrite channel strip - for anyone who hasn't jumped on this deal yet, don't hesitate
I also think their new $29 keep forever subscription is a pretty good offer if you want to get some of their more expensive plugins that don't go on sale that much.
If Reason+ was a subscription like this, I suppose quite a few more people would use it.

The biggest marketing ploy. We live in an age where plugins are $29 or lower for those who wait.Dave909 wrote: ↑22 Apr 2022Now it is but its still listed on their page as 299 dollars. Its now free in a bundle of plugin alliance and this offer though

Nothing they have in the shop and costs that much is even close in the area of a 299$ price tag. I mean, they try to sell an EQ for 300? wtf? I feel sorry for everyone that pays that prices...Dave909 wrote: ↑22 Apr 2022Now it is but its still listed on their page as 299 dollars. Reason12, Win10
Those inflated prices are just to make the frequent sales look like very good deals. Pretty much how Waves pricing works.
Right, I forgot how this works. Would you be interested in my brand new* polarity inverter plug-in? It's $10k usually, and only real audiophiles can hear the whole analogue goodness of its semi-manual inner workings in comparison to the standard "INV" button on the Reason SSL channel strip, but for you I'd lower the price to merely $600, so more than 90% off, if you use the coupon code "GASDEALSUCKER" at checkout...
* It's so new, it does not even exist, yet.
For those who got the ozone essential 8 for free. You can upgrade with advanced bundle, ozone 9 advanced, nektar 3, and many other things for.... 139usd! Crazy price....
Bitwig and RRP fanboy...
That's pretty cool, izotope doesn't normally allow upgrades from free products to standard or advanced versions.
Have they released native Silicon versions yet?
IZotope offers upgrades from Essentials products all the time. That’s one of the reasons they give the Essentials versions away for free so often. Lock you in. Again, where is the upgrade bundle selling for $139?

First time I've seen it.
I'm currently running ozone 8 advanced and neutron 3 advanced and every time I've seen it on sale the small print says upgrades from free elements excluded.
I think I grab a £25 elements then £128 upgrades to advanced for both massive savings and excellent products, especially the advanced versions as you can run the individual modules rather than the mothership.
I was thinking about fabfilter stuff but the way izotope stuff works is so much easier.
Is this it? I can’t really tell if this will upgrade Essentials, as there’s a separate far more expensive upgrade specifically for Essentials. But I mean I PAID for my copy of Essentials so I feel it should work.

Think this one is better.Steedus wrote: ↑26 May 2022Is this it? I can’t really tell if this will upgrade Essentials, as there’s a separate far more expensive upgrade specifically for Essentials. But I mean I PAID for my copy of Essentials so I feel it should work.

Just get it and if for some reason it doesn’t work then write to PB customer support and explain that you bought essentials and they’ll sort you out. They’re really good that way.
Thomann also has it and it says upgrade from free essentials. :

Actually both offers seems the same but in the pluginboutique list they say 'upgrade from any paid isotope product' whereas in the izotope website they say 'Mix & Master Bundle Advanced: Crossgrade from any iZotope product'.
Basically you don't need a paid version. This offer is directly on izotope website and I received an email from it.
The offer is actually 199usd, then you type summer 30 to get 30% more then you finish at 139+taxes (167 post taxes).
Anyway I can't tell you how excited I am. I suck at mastering and hope it will work better for me with this tool.
By the way the scaling issue on Windows is still there... Izotope 9 doesn't scale well with reason 12.
I will need to use it as standalone app as I don't have bionic eyes.

Right...already asked a couple of friends. iZotope Advanced Mastering Bundle for $124? GAS or great? I'm erring on the side of thinking it's just GAS buuuut...I've got the IKMultimedia Lurssen Mastering Console and I think it's great so...
