Tasty Chips GR-1 Granular Synthesizer. Any users here?

I'm looking at getting one of these.

From Perfect Circuit, it's $1099. So it's always been on my wishlist, but a little more than I'd like to spend.

Curious if anybody here owns one and what your experience has been. I'm sure a lot of similar stuff can be done with Grain, but with hardware and that slider, it looks like so much fun

From the back it looks like they use a Raspberry Pi 2B inside the Box as the main CPU. that would be pretty nice as you could make a Backup of the OS and have the option to have it repaired/serviced quite well even after the company would discontinue it.

Yeah I'm still thinking about it. The lack of audio input is a downside, but the ability to hook up audio interfaces is cool as well as USB MIDI controllers.
