Nice! Judging by the dates, "something new" from RS is about to drop around April 20.

would a livestream with Stromae be possible one day?

if you watch your video carefully you can see that it's Reason on your screen

I'm particularly looking forward to Eric Barone's stream! I played an absolute crap-ton of Stardew Valley with my wife during lockdown... it was a genuinely lovely reprieve during an otherwise kind of crappy time, and the music is absolutely lovely.

The "Nasal Riser" made an appearance in the promo video and now I'm thinking that the new classic effect devices has finally been revealed ;)

The inclusion of the Nasal Riser gave me a proper chuckle and I'm happy if that's the legacy I leave from my livestreams in general, haha!

Speaking of which, man I really ought to finish Livestream Sessions Vol. 2...

You need to do new livestreams :puf_bigsmile:
-------
Analog tape ⇒ ESQ1 sequencer board ⇒ Atari/Steinberg Pro24 ⇒ Atari/Cubase ⇒ Cakewalk Sonar ⇒ Orion Pro/Platinum ⇒ Reaper ⇒ Reason DAW.

I'd love to, but I just don't have the time... plus I'm not using Reason day-to-day like I used to. Sorry :(

I learned a heap of stuff from your livestream vids. No other tutorial videos gave me the instant insights that your hands-on composing in Reason did. I also didn't see anyone else being that instantly productive with Reason before. I regard your move to another platform a serious loss for the community.

Nevertheless, I wish you all the best. Maybe you'll come back to Reason sometime in the future.

excellent stream well worth the 2 hours watching, even though I've never played the game (I haven't played games for years)

So there you have it, some of the most widely heard music in the world done with basic sounds from the FSB, no VSTs, the old Reason FX units, a QWERTY keyboard and a mouse. Enjoyable stream.

yes and on top of all of that, he acknowledge a complete lack of theory - just an excellent ear

I actually did a "whoah" when they said that - there is so much musical incident in some of those faster pieces, little subtle turns of phrase, just assumed he must have had some schooling. But it was just School of Rock!

I wonder how many people will try Reason after this stream. It was very enjoyable though I’d never played the game or knew any of the backstory.

that dude is a straight up savant and keeps his eyes on the prize. i am sheepishly looking at my massive VST folder now. "VSTs? What are those?" should be my mantra to just focus.

I hate it ... how they get such a good sound with just FSB and virtual keyboard when I got all these Refills, MIDI controllers and VSTs and whatnot?

Not cool ;)
