First single from my upcoming album (which drops next month)! All written, recorded, produced and mixed in Reason
Trying to define this songs genre even more I came up with "Bedroom Surf Rock" and I think it describes it even better lol

Very very nice! Rarely expect to hear mostly audio driven music here and this was a great piece.

I stumbled across this again in my SoundCloud recents (it does that) and realized it's probably the track I have enjoyed most of any ever posted to this forum.

Well, yes, maybe, once it's no longer "upcoming".

After listening to your song I had to step away and fold some clothes. While folding the clothes I suddenly noticed that I was humming the melody of your song while doing said task and for sometime afterward and it elevated my mood! That's the effect it had on me!

Great song! Reminds me a little of the Smiths. Did you do it all in Reason? Which version? Thanks.

That's awesome!
It's a similar story to how it was written too.
I had been playing around with some new chords I found in an alternative tuning on the guitar and singing complete nonsense on top, which is a fun way to hunt for ideas you might not otherwise think of.
One small phrase caught my attention but I took a break to do something else, and then after a while I noticed that the same piece kept repeating in my head over and over so I quickly put down a demo for it
Thanks!The_Real_DeanC2000 wrote: ↑27 Jan 2022Great song! Reminds me a little of the Smiths. Did you do it all in Reason? Which version? Thanks.
It was started in R11 and finished in R12. Everything was done in Reason and using almost exclusively Rack Extensions (+ stock devices) since I'm not the biggest fan of VSTs
