This is the exact reason I made that post way back in September about why I was concerned about Reason.
It was obvious they'd bring people to refund the product, which is not a normal thing for regular users or users who would otherwise be happy to continue using it.
I was quite optimistic by suggesting they'd at have the crash/instability bugs ironed out by January/February (I was maybe 80% right).
But such is life. Bugs like this are tricky. This really should have been communicated clearly before launch, and definitely should have been clearly communicated to new users since then.
I didn't recommend Reason to a friend I've made a lot of music in Reason for. She eventually got R+ on her brother's recommendation. I just didn't want to risk her having issues with bugs or being disappointed with glitchy or incomplete graphics.
I'm sure it'll be great once it's out, but please, for the love of bread, do not do a release like this again!

Hahaha. It wasn’t Reason I sent back, it was the faulty Jazzmaster.avasopht wrote: ↑13 Jan 2022This is the exact reason I made that post way back in September about why I was concerned about Reason.

You should subscribe to Jazzmaster+. No-one buys perpetual guitars anymore.MrFigg wrote: ↑14 Jan 2022Hahaha. It wasn’t Reason I sent back, it was the faulty Jazzmaster.avasopht wrote: ↑13 Jan 2022

It was the most beautiful looking and best sounding guitar I have ever played. I hurt me to have to send it back. Even though they offered me a repair and some money back I still wouldn't be happy paying over €2000 for a B-stock guitar so after some deliberation I asked for a full refund. Something will come along.

IMO you did the right thing. Faulty is unacceptable at that price.MrFigg wrote: ↑14 Jan 2022It was the most beautiful looking and best sounding guitar I have ever played. It really was a joy to play...never had that feeling with any guitar before buy yeah, faulty not an option. Which is ironic really when this thread is actually about Reason. Faulty not an option. I've heard that the Johnny Marr Jaguar is like the best parts of the Jaguar & Jazzmaster combined, and has a massive range of those tones.

I just realised that native M1 support isn't going to be until May. F**k they are slow.

I know they've got bigger fish to fry, but Malstrom is still floating in a black void when you flip the rack .. I'm sure there was 1 other device like this too, but can't find it.

Not right now, On my work PC. But I remembered the other one though less noticeable is Layers. They're missing the rear rack ears., but because of the design of Malstrom it's much more noticeable - once you notice it

Thanks, I've just re read the roadmap update and you are correct.
Looks like VST3 is may as wellNative M1 support
We will work on this during the first few months of 2022 and expect to have it enabled by May. Yes, we know this is later than previously anticipated, and all we can say to you with newly purchased Mac's is…sorry. However, Rosetta in macOS still works great until Reason works natively on the Apple M1 processor.
Also just spotted the hires update should be done by early JanuaryVST3 support
There are technical reasons for addressing VST3 in alignment with M1, therefore we will have the same ambition for the VST3 release as M1.
Is the 18th early?Hi-res - Last fixes
Early January we think we are completely done and can move on with our lives. A huge transformation will come to an end, but very worth it and more future proof.
Has it all been fixed?

Update 12.4 brought a serious bug affecting Windows installs that are pointing to external drives. That version basically won't run in that configuration. Many Windows users currently cannot run the latest update (including me). So, I guess that has thrown a spanner in the works (again).
